There was no proper big movie in theatres after ‘Badrinath’. The long hiatus was just filled by a few dumb small films. And now suddenly two big films ‘Dhada’ and ‘Kandireega’ are releasing on same date that is on August 12th.
The reason behind this is, Aug 12th Lakshmi Pooja, Aug 13th Saturday is seeing Raksha Bandhan and Aug 15th Monday is Independence Day. That happens to be long weekend and both the films want to cash that for openings and subsequent day collections.
While RR Movies Venkat bought ‘Dhada’ distribution rights at Rs 11 Cr out rate, till now no one is coming forward to buy overseas. While the overseas buyers are quoting Rs 15 lakh, the makers of ‘Dhada’ are finding it insult and saying ‘no’.
So it is still a doubt if Dhada and Kandireega release in USA.
