Keeravani to watch ‘Badrinath’ at Vinayak’s place

The noted music director MM Keeravan is one man who is known for his few words but when he speaks he speaks intellectually. Now, it is heard that he has mentioned a line or two on his blogging site. Sources say Keeravani has mentioned that he has five more days of work for Badrinath. He also added that he would be watching the morning show of the film at the new theatre owned by V V Vinayak in Vizag. The film is hitting the screens on June 10th.

Rajamouli challenges Music Director!

The best combination of director and music composer would do wonders for a film. SS Rajamouli and MM Keeravani stands best example of understanding and rapport between two technicians. Rajamouli visualizes exactly the same as what his brother thinks. Till now, every film in their combination is a blockbuster musically and commercially. The experimental flick of 'Eega' with one animated character as hero and some other live characters has become a challenge for both. Rajamouli as a technican already pre-visualized entire movie and narrated it to Keeravani asking to compose three songs, gripping background for film. Moods and situations in this kind of flicks are totally different, novelistic from regular movies. Keeping the expectations, new thought process of Rajamouli in mind, Keeravani took 'Eega' as a challenge to his receptivity. What remains to be seen is how far music magician reached the outlook of screen magician.

Keeravani & Rajamouli Prefer Only Fresh??

It is known news that Keeravani has a key decision making role to play in all the projects handled by Rajamouli. Even the choice of heroines gets the two brothers on same page. Apparently, they don’t like repeating a heroine in any of their projects. This is seen right from ‘Student No 1’ to the latest ‘Eega’.

‘Student No 1’ had Ghazala, ‘Simhadri’ had Bhumika, Ankita, ‘Sye’ had Genelia, ‘Chatrapathi’ had Shriya, ‘Vikramarkudu’ had Anushka, ‘Magadheera’ had Kajal, ‘Maryada Ramanna’ had Saloni and ‘Eega’ has Samantha. That way, it looks like Samantha pairing up with Prabhas for Rajamouli’s next film looks impossible.

Right from Ramgopal Varma to Puri Jagannadh, V V Vinayak, Srinu Vaitla, Boyapati tend to repeat their heroines. But Keeravani- Rajamouli doesn’t entertain heroines for the second time in their projects. This can be termed as ‘use and throw’ policy or not developing attraction towards heroines, the choice is yours.

Keeravani- Rs 2 Cr Per Film

It is without doubt that the first name that comes to mind when it is about top music directors in Tollywood is M M Keeravani. He has also made his presence felt in the Bollywood circuit and today, he is ruling the roost in the Telugu circuit. So, here is something about his remuneration.


Sources say that earlier Keeravani used to charge anywhere between Rs 1.5 crores to Rs 2 crores for each film. This was because of the ‘black’ and ‘white’ thing. But now, with new measures being taken in Tollywood in terms of cost cutting and the rule that all transactions must be in white, he has reportedly hiked his meter to Rs 2 crores per film.


While Keeravani stands the costliest, the next layer goes to folks like Mani Sharma, Devisri Prasad, Chakri etc. That’s why it is heard that many are going to S S Thaman. Apparently, Thaman is said to be quite flexible with his remuneration and is coming up with some hot tunes in each album of his. That’s the Gaana-Bajaana of the music directors folks.

Top Heroines Running After Keeravani!!!

Sensational director Rajamouli often says that his brother Keeravani is not just a music director but a man who holds his finger and guides him in each and every aspect of film making. Those who work with Rajamouli say that the only person who can influence Rajamouli is Keeravani.

This news seems to have reached the ears of all the Telugu heroines who got imported from Mumbai. That is why, it is heard that all these heroines are making several rounds after Keeravani and be in his good books. Their target is to bag a chance in the new socio-fantasy project announced by Rajamouli which has Prabhas in the lead and is produced by K Raghavendra Rao.

The film which got launched recently is yet to confirm the heroine. It is known news that getting the role of a heroine in a Rajamouli film is like bagging a jackpot. So, heroines ranging from Ileana to Richa Gangopadhyay are reportedly in touch with Keeravani.

Sharwanand's Next Titled Keeravani

A film titled Keeravani will go on floors shortly. But, it has nothing to do with music director MM Keeravani. Touted to be a musical film, it will star Sharwanand and Mammootty in lead roles. Venkat PN will direct the film. Pulleti Durgamohan and Kotturi Natarajan will jointly produce it under the banner Siri Laxmi Sindhu Cine Creations.

The film was launched with a puja ceremony recently. Tanikella Bharani handed over the script to Venkat. The movie is to be produced in three languages. Keeravani will have music by MS Chandra and the cast also has Prabhu, Suman, Jayaprada, Tanikella Bharani, Sobhana, Seetha, Brahmanandam, Dharmavarapu, MS Narayana and Ali. The camera will be cranked by Kabir Lal.
