Nag turns auto driver for Damarukam!

Nagarjuna is said to be playing the role of auto driver in his forthcoming socio-fantasy film Damarukam. The fresh schedule of Damarukam is set to commence from 1st July in Sarathi Studios. Damarukam is Nagarjuna’s highest budget film by far in his career.

Anushka is playing the female lead in the movie and she is donning the role of a lady who is born with magical powers while Prakash Raj will be seen in the role of Lord Siva. Abhimanyu Singh is playing the negative lead role in the film.

Damarukam is being directed by Srinivasa Reddy and produced by R.Venkat on R.R.Movie Makers banner. Nagarjuna is currently busy with his Rajanna on his banner Annapurna Studios that will hit the screens in September.

Damarukham At Bramaramba Mallikarjuna Temple

King Nagarjuna is acting as the main lead in the movie Damarukham under the banner R R Movie Makers the movie regular shoot has been started from Monday and as of now the film unit is shooting at BHEL outskirts of Hyderabad in Bramaramba Mallikarjuna temple in which Heroine Anuskha and others were participating.

The movie made on socio fantasy has around 50 minutes of graphics in it, Damarukham is directed by Srinivas Reddy and is the highest budget film in the career of Nagarjuna music is by Devi Sri Prasad.

Nag's Dhamarukham Updates

King Nagarjuna is acting in the movie Dhamarukham under the banner R R Movie Makers and it has started recently and is going to do the latest schedule from 6th of June at BHEL bramaramba temple for 3 days.

And after that the schedule will be continued in Nanak Ram Guda Rama Naidu Studios in a special house set there and then in Airport Toilet set in the same place and then the shooting will go on in Saradhi studios in a colony set there and then the schedule will be completed and in the next schedule the shooting will be done in all the important sacred places.

'Damarukam'- A Flop Idea?

Nagarjuna is now making a big thing on Telugu screen. He is coming up with ‘Damarukam’, the budget of which is estimated to be Rs 42 Crore. These are the days where Tollywood has laid a cut on the remunerations of artistes and technicians. These are the days where the digital technology is pervading every where and cutting down the cost of production to half. Apart from this these are the days where piracy is like virus every where hitting the fate of any movie. These are also the days where the directors like Ram Gopal Varma are making 5 films @ budget of Rs 30 Crore, a film with just 4 lakh budget in 5 days keeping the margins in mind.

At this juncture if Nagarjuna is going ahead carrying the budget of Rs 42 Cr on his shoulders will that work? Will that not be a flop idea? Is that not beyond the potential of a Telugu movie?

These questions are lingering in the minds of trade pundits. People quote the example of ‘Magadheera’ whenever this sort of discussion comes. But that stands as a miraculous exception which will not be possible for all as per the fact. This socio fantasy is being directed by Srinivas Reddy in the production of Dr Venkat of RR Movies.
