In that, she also belittled the presence of Prabhas as though she didn’t even know someone like Prabhas existed in Tollywood. While the cine folks and media folks were surprised and fuming a bit, here is another side of the coin.

It is heard that there is a good reason behind why Nithya did that. Sources say that when the film ‘Rebel’ was planned, the makers thought of Nithya Menon as the lead. However, buzz is that it was Prabhas who said no to her and added that she was too short and it will not work out.

Apparently, this news reached Nithya and that’s why she took her share of vengeance. However, those who got to know this are saying “For the private opinion of Prabhas, Nithya gave a public insult.” They quip “Mallu Kutty Potti Dhi but Chaala Gattidhi”.

నిత్యా మీనన్... అంటే "అలామొదలైంది" సినిమా గుర్తుకు వస్తుంది. ఈ భామ ఇటీవల సీసీఎల్ క్రికెట్ పోటీలకు గాను విమానంలో ప్రయాణం చేయాల్సి వచ్చిందట. ఆయా ఫిలిమ్ ఇండస్ట్రీల నుంచి హీరోహీరోయిన్లంతా విమానంలో ప్రయాణించేందుకు ఎక్కి కూచుకున్నారట.

Recently, a press-meet was arranged for the promotion of the film and this displayed Nithya’s head strong nature to the fullest. Giving wayward and satirical replies to every question cheesed many media people and here are few excerpts from Nithya’s statements.

When asked why she declined the chance of working with Venkatesh, Nithya’s reply was “He is a grownup, I am a small and young girl. How will our pair look good?”

When asked about her opinion on Tollywood, the reply was “I just saw one or two films like ‘Magadheera’”.

In between, a topic of Prabhas came and it is heard that Nithya’s reply was “Prabhas??... who Prabhas?? Is there a hero like that in Telugu?”.
