‘Dookudu’ is a film that made Telugu film lovers jump in joy. Thanks to hero mahesh babu and director Srinu Vytla. As the movie is breaking top most industry records writing its own history, a recent tweet from Mahesh made his Fans to fly their collars with pride. Here it is, ‘It’s official.Dookudu is d highest grosser of the Telugu film industry....unbelievable..... Wana thank d producers of 14reels, my director seenu vytla n d entire team....what can I say....only happiness at this time....’ Well, the one movie which ‘Dookudu’ crossed as per Prince’s tweet is obviously ‘Magadheera.’ Inner trade circles researching on ‘Dookudu’ success are eager to know, what the actual total collection number (in Crores) is made by mahesh babu’s flick till now. Wish that either producers or hero will reveal these figures officially to maintain their new benchmark in Tollywood.

Prince promises biggest treat for fans

The fans of prince Mahesh Babu will be celebrating Dussera a little early. While the actual 10 day festival is on October 6, for the fans of prince it is on September 23 when his new film Dookudu will hit the screens.  prince’s last film Khaleja did not satisfy his fans. His previous film that came three years ago Athidhi also did not fare well at the box office. This time however the fans expect a tsunami at the box office with Dookudu. Even Mahesh Babu is confident that the film is going to be a blockbuster hit and will go on to create new records.  prince’s confidence on Dookudu and the record number of screens that it will be opening are all very positive signals that are making his fans go ecstatic.---

'Dookudu' destined to cross 'Magadheera'

The kind of hoopla surrounding ‘dookudu’ with one week left for release, one can surely anticipate a BO blockbuster in offering from 14 Reels Entertainment banner. Director Srinu Vytla has got a safe track record at BO made this film a perfect blend of comedy and high voltage entertainment. Despite Telugu cinema Fans divided into virtual groups for their heroes, Mahesh Babu holds a strong fort of unbiased image among all the Fans groups and this would help film secure dynamite openings in first week. A source predicts that, ‘dookudu’ is destined to cross ‘Magadheera’ records. For the first time, Mahesh Babu expressing so much of confidence on the film is making Prince Fans to go on sleepless nights waiting for the day of September 23 to arrive.

The pity position of Tollywood is seen from last three to four months. We have no such single direct Telugu movie release which has given a tough fight to dubbing movies. Except ‘Kandireega,’ all other flicks faltered at BO giving scope for Tamil to Telugu dubbing movies to fare exceptionally well. Even the yesterday’s release of ‘Vachchadu Gelichadu’ has seen some good openings.  After a very long gap, thirsty Tollywood Box Office is to get a Cool Cola in the form of ‘Dookudu.’ While records are to surely break, die hard Telugu movie admirers and of course Prince Fans who got sick of watching Tamil nativity flicks are having a loud laughter at Dubbing Films which are released yesterday and some releasing today. Yes, ‘Dookudu’ will take on every one in market and Mahesh Mania is to take a big toll at BO killing any kind of opposition.

Mahesh Confident - Tarak Doubtful

Last year around the same time, we have witnessed a strong star war at BO between Mahesh Babu’s ‘Khaleja’ and Junior NTR’s ‘Brindavanam.’ Although winner emerged quite clearly, it’s same time this year and we have similar fight between ‘Dookudu’ and ‘Oosaraevelli.’ Inner reports are coming out very strong on both the projects but confidence levels of both the heroes seem to be on different levels. Mahesh Babu for the first time crossed his Confidence level to Over Confidence level tweeting with high belief and aplomb  on ‘Dookudu’ and the entire team worked for it.  On the other side, Junior NTR is observed as a timid at ‘Oosaravelli’ audio release function transferring the burden on Fans to make the film a super hit. ‘I have tried something different. It is your duty to make the film a hit. I was doubtful on fate of ‘Oosaravelli’ during the shooting stages. I even doubted on selection of Surender Reddy as my director. When I entered the dubbing theatre, I was shocked by his output and just hugged him warmly,’ NTR said. Now, these kinds of words make Fans doubtful on the project Tarak…! This is just an interpretation and one has to wait and see who will come out as real winner. Wish that, both win BO.

'Dookudu'- A Must To Cross 'Pokiri'

Film Nagar sources say that even though Dookudu becomes super hit that wouldn't fetch any thing for producers.

The film started almost 1 and half years ago and Mahesh Babu was given Rs 8 Cr as remuneration. Sreenu Vaitla bagged Rs 5 Cr while Samantha and music director Tamanna took Rs 50lakh each. Parvathy Melton and other artistes were billed up to Rs 4 crore and that way the budget of Rs 18 crore has gone only for remunerations.

The shooting has been on floors from last one year and the expenses would be around Rs 10 crore. So, calculating the interest for this Rs 28-30 Cr @ 2% it's coming around 6 crore. So, all together Rs 35 Cr is the investment made on 'Dookudu'.

So, until and unless it becomes a bigger hit than 'Pokiri', producers don't fall in profit zone. If it stands like Khaleja or Athidhi, the situation will be bad. And if becomes 'Sainikudu', the scene will be worst!!

Mahesh Babu Angry With NTR

NTR is adamant and that is known for many film buffs. During the time of ‘Khaleja’ release, NTR emphasized on releasing his ‘Brindavanam’ as a competition to that. Now, he is repeating his adamant act. He is compelling that ‘Oosaravelli’ should release at any cost on October 6th.

Due to this, it is heard that Mahesh is going red with anger on hearing the name of NTR. ‘Dookudu’ unit members reveal that Mahesh feels NTR is wantedly getting his films released at the same time. With ‘Oosaravelli’ being forced to release on October 6th, ‘Dookudu’ is having no choice but to release on September 23rd.   

Due to this, Mahesh Babu is slogging day and night and this is not his habit. After the super success of ‘Pokiri’ everyone started calling Mahesh a superstar and from then on, he has been doing shootings at his own convenience. But due to NTR, Mahesh is now made to work day and night that’s why he is very serious, as per sources.

We all know how 'Pokiri', the historical movie in Tollywood turned the image of Mahesh Babu overnight.

The film is a hot favorite for many even now and they wait to watch on TV channels. But Mahesh Babu is saying that the 'Pokiri' is a pigmy in front of 'Dookudu'.

Mahesh completed his dubbing part for the movie 'Dookudu' and saying that this film is going to be bigger than Pokiri in all terms. He is saying, "I'm indebted to Srinu Vaitla for giving me this great film. I can call Srinu Vaitla the Super Director".

So, we may have to see if Dookudu rewrites the history of Tollywood.

'Paakudu' Is The Apt Title

It is not sure how apt the title ‘Dhookudu’ is for the film by Srinu Vytla starring Mahesh Babu. But the way the shooting has been progressing, many are feeling that the apt title for the film is not ‘Dhookudu’ but ‘Paakudu’.

The film was due for summer release but now it is looking doubtful even for a Dussera release. It is agreed that due to the strike in the industry the shooting got delayed but taking the gap to nearly six-seven months is ridiculous.

After ‘Athidhi’, Mahesh Babu came with ‘Khaleja’ after three years and it turned out to be a major dud. With that, Mahesh gave assurance to his fans that he would take measures to come up with atleast two films in an year. Many recalled Mahesh’s famous dialogue about ‘commit’ in ‘Pokiri’ and were confident he would stand by his word.

But it is nearly an year since ‘Khaleja’ has released which means Mahesh has not stood by his word. Now, Mahesh fans are opining that instead of ‘Dhookudu’ it is better to name the film as ‘Paakudu’. What remains to be seen is whether there will be any change in Mahesh after hearing this comment.

Mahesh Babu becomes Trend Setter

Giving a new hope to multi starrer films, we all know that mahesh babu has shown green signal to producer ‘Dil’ Raju to act besides Venkatesh in ‘Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ that will be directed by Srikanth Addala. Good to see few of our heroes compromising on egos, principles and thanks to ‘Dil’ Raju if this one really happens.  Meanwhile here is more news coming from inner sources that producer Aswini Dutt is also planning for a multi starrer project with mahesh babu and Naga Chaitanya. Although this news is not yet made official, preparations are known to be going on confidential. If same sources are to be believed, Chaitu will play brother role to mahesh babu. Let us wait and see, how far this news will come out clear in coming one or two weeks. Looks like our Prince has decided to become a trend setter like his father!

Venkatesh And Mahesh Babu @ 'SVSC' Confirmed

To all those who were craving for an authentic Multi-starrer in Tollywood, the time has come for them to rejoice. Well, news is that the interestingly titled film ‘Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ which was on the rounds since a while has finally got the required clearances to take off.

This is being directed by Srikanth Addala and the best part is that it will have Venkatesh teaming up with Mahesh Babu. The film will be produced by Dil Raju. Sources say the film will be hitting the floors in the month of August.

Inside talk is that it has a mind blowing theme and a wonderful storyline attached to it. While that is exciting, what is grabbing the attention of many is the fact that they will get to see the likes of Mahesh and Venky on the same screen which is a unique moment in Telugu cinema.

Mahesh Vs Naga Chaitanya

Naga Chaitanya and Mahesh Babu are going to lock horns! Not in real life but at the Box Office. Naga Chaitanya and Kajal‘s latest film titled Dada and Mahesh Babu’s Dookudu are releasing at the same time.

Naga Chaitanya’s film being directed by Ajay Bhuyan is releasing on August 12. Dookudu being directed by Srinu Vaitla is also releasing on the same day. If not on the same day, it may release with a gap of one week. Both the films are in their final stages of production and their audio will be released next month. It remains to be seen which of the films will emerge successful.

The odd one out in the queue from South to North would be mahesh babu. Yes, majority of heroines working in South are going to Bollywood and mahesh babu will be the first hero among his contemporaries to travel B-town if Prakashraj’s request really works out positively. Here is the insider news, Hindi director Rohit Shetty remaking Telugu ‘Yamudu’ (Tamil ‘Singham’) as ‘Singham’ with Ajay Devgan is actually to head for South. Having inspired by the mass touch of Rohit Shetty in designing the trailers of ‘Singham,’ our Prince is known to have sent feelers through Prakashraj inviting him to direct a film in South. Other Telugu and Tamil heroes too are interested and there appears to be a demand for this director in regional cinema. Apparently Rohit is impressed by the kindness of our heroes but fortunate enough to say that he had future commitments with Ajay Devgan and Abhishek Bachchan. In order not to drop the proposal of mahesh babu, it is heard that Rohit requested mahesh babu to come Bollywood rather than he traveling down to South. ‘He is charming enough to score big hits stealing the hearts of North public. mahesh babu has to give a try with Hindi films,’ said a close source supporting this news. One has to wait and see, how will mahesh babu react to this offer?

Mahesh Babu-Venkatesh's true multi-starrer

When a film starring two young heroes is being termed as a multi-starrer, the real meaning of it is put at stake. People started to believe that two real stars won't team up for a Telugu film forever. Wait, don't lose hope as there is a ray perhaps the sun is shining upon the forgotten 'multi-starrer' term in Telugu cinema. If the reports are to be believed, Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh, two of the very big stars of Tollywood are going to star in a film. Dil Raju produces this 'trendsetter' under Srikanth Addala('Kotha Bangaru Lokam' fame) direction. Previously Raju tried to cast in Pawan Kalyan besides Venkatesh but it is Mahesh who will star in this film. Mahesh and Venkatesh have given positive nod to this film but Dil Raju is maintaining strategic silence on this. He wants to disclose this trendsetting news on a big stage in a grand manner. Therefore he says that nothing has been finalized yet. But behind the screen everything was fixed and finalized says the buzz.

Mahesh Babu's Film Doubtful

We have recently reported that the film ‘The Businessman’ starring Mahesh Babu is going to be a bilingual and the news that director Ramgopal Varma has withdrawn from the Telugu version. It is reported that Ramu is only involved in producing the Hindi version with Abhishek Bachchan as the hero. 

Now, the other update is that the noted banner RR Movie Makers have showed interest in the Telugu version and already paid Rs 3 crores as advance to Mahesh. However, there is also news that none of the other members of the film got any advance. Sources say, even if ‘The Businessman’ doesn’t work out, then they can use the dates of Mahesh for another project.

As a result, buzz is that ‘The Businessman’ might not happen in Telugu. Each day new updates are coming and only time will clear the confusion.

Hero makes Samantha cry!

Hot beauty Samantha, who was the 'heroine of Tollywood' last year hasn't had a release in 2011 till now. She will have one when Mahesh Babu's 'Dookudu' sees light. And it looks like it will be the only release for her this year. Rajamouli's 'Eega' is most unlikely to release in 2011 as the film will need more time for post production work. Bagging a film with Mahesh Babu seemed a boon for her at the beginning, but she is now ruing her decision for starring in this film. Mahesh Babu's films usually take so much time to complete and 'Dookudu' too took almost a year, but couldn't wrap the shooting. Samantha signed 'Dookudu' soon after 'Ye Maya Chesave', hoping that it would take her to the next level. She didn't have a single release post 'Brindavanam' and her competitors Kajal, Tamanna and Ileana had seen couple of releases each in the meantime. Kajal and Tamanna are going to come up with at least one film each in this year too. Due to the big gap between the films, Samantha is in danger of being forgotten. She is now crying to see her contemporaries race ahead and she to be left stranded at the same place.
