He is Daggubati Rana and unlike his predecessors like Chiranjeevi, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan who proved their mettle in the south and went north, Rana is foraying with just one film under his belt. One can recall how Chiru attempted for a footing in Bollywood with films like ‘Pratibandh’ ‘Aaj Ka Goondaraj’. Now, Rana is going there with his ‘Dum Maro Dum’. However, the cine pundits say that despite having immense dance talent and superstar aura Chiru couldn’t do anything in Bollywood.

A noted analyst said “As for Rana, he doesn’t even have the dance talent like Chiranjeevi or a good number of hits to create an impact. But he is already feeling like Bollywood hero. Well, it is better he holds his horses and turn back the wheel of time to see how his seniors fared. If he is able to make a consistent success graph in Bollywood, it would call for nothing less than a miracle.”

Bipasha Basu is avoiding all questions related to south Indian actor Rana Daggubati, who will be seen with her in the film Dum Maaro Dum .

“It was great to work with him. He is a very talented actor and we built up a great rapport. I’m also working with Prateik Babbar for the first time; he seems to have great talent too. However, the growth while working with Abhishek ( Bachchan) was different feeling altogether as we know each other – we are more like friends,” Bipasha said recently.

So has the “rapport” between the two moved off- screen as well? “ You guys need to keep linking us all the time,” she remarked.

But since news of her break- up with John have started doing the rounds, the actress must be in dire need of a strong shoulder to cry on, isn’t she? “ It is not essential for me to answer your queries,” Bips retorted before turning her back and rushing away fuming.

Time for another update on the love triangle of Shriya Saran- Daggubati Rana- Bipasha Basu. Apparently, strong grapevine has been on about problems between ‘good friends’ Rana and Shriya after the entry of Bipasha in Rana’s life. Now, it is heard that Shriya is breathing fire on the entire episode.

According to sources, Shriya is not happy with the way her name is being dragged into the issue. She has reiterated that she is very much single and is cross with Rana- Bipasha for using her name and gain publicity for their film.

Apparently, Shriya knew Rana right from school days and is feeling horrible that she is being linked romantically. The issue has reached the ears of Shriya’s parents and this is making her feel worse.

Director Forces Sexy Heroine To Smoke!!

It is often an effort of the director to make his film as realistic as possible. However, there are times when he must know where to draw the line. This is something director Rohan Sippy may have forgotten when he was persuading the sexy Bipasha Basu to smoke a cigarette for a scene in his movie ‘Dum Maro Dum’.

Apparently, Bips is a strong anti-smoker and it is heard that Rohan was all over her convincing Bipasha to just do one shot. Finally, the pretty girl agreed and after many hours of practice, she did the required. However, it is heard that Rohan simply chopped the whole scene off and this enraged Bips to the fullest.

The pretty girl was literally fuming since she had to go through a lot of psychosis only to find out that the entire thing has been chopped. To make things worse, sources say Rohan didn’t have a proper explanation for the chopping. It is also heard that Bipasha made it clear to Rohan that she would never ever do that again.

Bipasha Basu was in Hyderabad a couple of days ago for the promotion of her upcoming film 'Dum Maro Dum'. It is known that Rana paired up with Bips in that film. Rana made many attempts to boast how rich he is in Tollywood. He has shown her that he is the legal heir of 1000s of crores of property. After the promotion event, Rana took her to his Ramanidu Studios in Film Nagar and from there he also took her to Nanakram Guda Studio. Rana - Bipasha Basu Says 'Te Amo' in 'Dum Maaro Dum'

Dum Maaro Dum is a Bollywood thriller directed by Rohan Sippy and produced by Ramesh Sippy. Abhishek Bachchan stars as Dhilipp Mehta, a bold narcotics police officer, Bipasha Basu as Reva and Prateik Babbar as Manav. In supporting roles, Kangana Ranaut plays Atreya D'Costa, Aditya Pancholi portrays Rajiv Mahal, Monty Munford plays Alexei and Mariah Gomes Crisanna Wilton. 

Telugu superstar Rana Daggubati and Govind Namdeo will make an appearance, as will Deepika Padukone who is set to shake her hips to the title song "Dum Maaro Dum," Pritam's remake of Zeenat Aman's original "Hare Rama Hare Krishna." Like Steven Soderbergh's Oscar winning movie Traffic with Benicio Del Toro dealt with drug trafficking between the U.S. and Mexico, Dum Maaro Dumfollows the drug mafia in Goa. 

The movie is described as an edgy and dramatic thriller. "The film is shaping up very well and the audiences should get ready to enjoy a gripping, moving film with great visual appeal coming their way," Ramesh Sippy told DNAI. Dum Maaro Dum hits theaters on April 22. Shocking! Bipasha Basu claims that she got into a fistfight with Dum Maaro Dumitem girl Deepika Padukone on the set of the movie! A media stunt to get the buzz going about the film or true story? 

Actually, Bips was simply trying to make a point that the press is always looking for drama when two B-town heroines have to share screen time. But the Bengali bombshell insists there is nothing to the latest rumors!

"Yeah, we had fistfights too. I was thinking of taking a picture of Deepika and me embroiled in a fist fight and putting it up on Twitter for the media," the actress toldHindustan Times.
