It was with great hype and hoopla the debut of Shruti Haasan happened in Bollywood but in no time she had to pack her bags. Now, it is heard that she has focused her attention towards the southern circuit, most importantly the Telugu circuit.

Sources say Shruti’s beau Siddarth has been the helping hand and he has already used his clout to push Nithya Menon away from a film ‘Oh My Friend’ and got Shruti in. Nithya making a public statement about it is known to all.

On the other hand, Nithya opted out of a movie with Venkatesh as she felt he was ‘too old’ for her. Meanwhile, the cine folks say Shruti has no choice but to cling on to Tollywood or Kollywood since she has been shown the exit door from Bollywood.

Hot beauty Shruti Hassan has recently moved her base to Hyderabad. And her live-in relationship with Actor Siddharth is topping the headlines from the past few weeks, thanks to their sizzling chemistry both on-and off-screen. The actress is not interested to react on her live-in relationship with Sid. "I'm not here to clarify any rumours. I don't want to talk about my private life. Barring personal queries anything on films is welcome," she says firmly, To a query on, why she had moved to Hyderabad? "It is just a work-related decision that I took and nothing else. The city has a unique atmosphere and it feels lovely. Hyd biryani is something that I crave for," says the beauty. Working with Siddharth again for 'O My Friend', after 'Anaganaga O Dheerudu'? "I have learnt a lot from him. We always have fun on the sets," she says.

Siddharth recommends 'S' to his friends

Sexy siren Shruti Haasan finds a Salman Khan in Tollywood heartthrob Siddharth. Salman is known for recommending his 'special women' to his friends to get them more offers. Although Siddharth is not as big star as Salman Khan, he has good friends in Tollywood and he is using those contacts to get new offers for Shruti. Reportedly, Shruti Haasan has bagged films opposite NTR and Allu Arjun. Buzz is that, Siddharth is instrumental in Shruti bagging those offers. He has also kicked out Nithya Menon from his film 'O My Friend' and signed in Shruti in her place. Rumor mills are abuzz that something is brewing between Sid and Shruti. One of the popular English dailies broke the scoop that they both are involved in live-in relation from sometime. Siddharth wanted Shruti to be in Hyderabad most of the time and therefore he is recommending her to his actor-friends.

‘O My Friend’ begins regular shooting

Titled ‘O My Friend’ directed by a debutant Venu Sriram and produced by Dil Raju on the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, with Siddhartha and Shruti Haasan in the lead and Hansika and Navadeep in the second lead, has begun its shooting recently.

The regular shooting of the film has begun recently. The combination of Dil Raju and Siddhartha is repeating for the second time after ‘Bommarillu’. Likewise the combination of the Siddhu and Shruti is repeating after ‘Anaganaga O Dheerudu’.

Shruti Haasan is reportedly started learning Kuchipudi dance for the movie. The film would have friendship in its backdrop as the title denotes the same.

Siddharth and Sruthi are back

Sruthi Haasan made debut in Telugu opposite Siddharth in Anaganaga O Dheerudu. Although the film didn't become a hit, their chemistry was appreciated. So they duo are back together for another film. Sruthi Haasan now replaces Nitya Menon in producer Dil Raju's new film with Siddharth, which is tentatively titled O My Friend. 

Initially, Bollywood actress Amrita Rao was chosen for this film but she opted out for various reasons. Then Nitya Menon of Ala Modalindi fame stepped in. But finally, Sruthi Haasan has signed the movie and she is the female lead in this two heroines movie.

Debutant director Venu Sriram directs the movie. 

Shruti Hassan Opposite NTR

Though Anaganaga O Dheerudu didn't fare as expected at the box-office, the Telugu industry noticed Shruti Hassan's debut. The filmmakers are queuing up at her doorstep to sign her on. Film trade circles are abuzz with the news that the multi talented actress has been approached to play the lead opposite NTR. We also hear that she has been signed to play the female lead opposite Mahesh Babu. However nothing has been confirmed as yet. Shruti Hassan is evidently happy with the wide-eyed media attention she is receiving.
