Rajini Dare Stunt Act for ‘Rana’

“Yes, he will be performing his own stunts for the period drama Rana”, said director KS Ravi Kumar. The Superstar, who is currently recuperating at Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital, is keen on doing the stunts on his own rather than using a body double thus ending rumours that action sequences will be altered or done completely by a body double.

“Rajinikanth, who fell ill during the first schedule of Rana is keenly monitoring the progress of Rana”, said Ravi Kumar. In the meantime speculations regarding Rana’s script alteration are also brushed aside by Ravi Kumar by suggesting that Rana’s script is completely untouched and it would remain as Rajini wrote it.

The director is also not in a rush to start filming Rana. He wants Thalaivar to take all the rest he needs, before coming to sets completely fit. The shooting which is stopped temporarily will resume in September as opposed to June end, said Ravi. Right now for the maker the superstar’s health is paramount.

Rana with an estimated budget of over Rs 150 crores will see Rajini essaying three different roles.

Kamal drops tears for Rajinikanth

Away from all the baseless gossips furnished by various sources of media on the competition between kamal hasan and Rajinikanth, here comes eye watering episode that happened one day before Rajini’s departure to Singapore. Rajini's New Message For Fans

Superstar Rajinikanth has assured millions of his anxious fans about his wellness in a new voice message before leaving for Singapore for further treatment. The superstar tells fans he'd be back soon and thanks them for their abundant love.

He sounds cheerful and says, "I am happily going about my routine. I will return as early as possible."

He has been admitted to Singapore's top hospital, the Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre, according to medical sources.

The 61-year-old actor arrived with his wife and two daughters after he was discharged from a Chennai hospital where he spent two weeks being treated for respiratory problems.

He is now at the Mount Elizabeth Centre which is considered one of the best hospitals in Asia and its roster of patients includes big wigs like Indian politician Amar Singh who had a kidney transplant here in 2009.

However the hospital has refused to comment on Rajinikanth's health saying that it was not obliged to disclose the identity of its patients when they request complete privacy.

After the Endhiran star was discharged from the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre in Chennai yesterday, the hospital had released a bulletin saying that the actor was "cheerful" and doing well.

"He is cheerful, taking his food himself, spending time with family. He has scheduled his trip abroad for a change and relaxation and incidentally to go in for selective checkups," said the bulletin.

The actor suffered from exhaustion on April 29, the first day of the shoot of his latest venture Rana and was admitted to the Isabel Hospital in Chennai. He was discharged the same day only to be readmitted on May 4 for allergic bronchitis and viral fever.

He was then admitted to the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre on May 13 for respiratory infection and other problems. He was shifted to a private ward last Sunday after being in the intensive care unit.

Some of the hardcore Rajini fans based in Chennai are commenting “They are doing just like Satya Sai Baba’s case. We don’t even know whether Rajini is taking regular bed rest or is he in ventilator. Atleast, if he can give a two minute video that he is fine, we can be relieved and get back to our works. For now, we are totally fixed on offering our prayers in temple for his speedy recovery.”

While the anguish of the fans can be understood, the hospital sources reiterated that Rajini was fine and is just relaxing a bit. However, his foreign trip for medical checkup is reportedly confirmed.

Superstar approves a secret project!

Including with 'Rana' there is one more project of Rajinikanth that will go live wire in next few weeks. Super Star is going back to make his foray on Bollywood screen with a direct Hindi movie which has been started few years ago but stopped in between due to sudden demise of director. Name of the film is 'Takraar' which is directed by Harmesh Malhotra who passed away in 2005. Later on the project was called to have ended. Indeed a new director named Raja Roy got financials approved by a big producer and had the secret agreement signed with Rajinikanth to start the shooting very soon. Along with Rajinikanth, there will be Shatrughan Sinha in second hero character. Rajini's recent successes are enough proof to show that he is a saleable product every where in the world. 'Takraar' film shooting will start very soon as Rajinikanth and Shatrugan Sinha are eager to work together.

Access Card Security for Rana Shooting

Finally the construction of the huge sets which are being erected at AVM Studios got completed. Now the shooting of Rana is all set take place in these sets and director KS Ravi Kumar is going to shoot a duet on the lead pair Rajini and Deepika Padukone. Reliable sources say that Rana is going to be launched on May 1st and a duet song is going to be canned in the set erected at Royal Hall.

The muhurat is almost confirmed on May 1st which is followed by a regular shoot. It is known that except the cast and crew of unit none of them were allowed at location of the shoot and the team members of Rana got issued Access Card to enter the shooting location on the VIII floor of the Studios. Probably for the first time in the history of Indian cinema, the Access cards are being issued to the cast and crew for the shooting. Off course whatever Rajini does it always represents his own style!

Ileana has been confirmed as a heroine for one of the role played by Rajini while Tabu is going to play opposite elder Rana. Sonu Sood plays the baddie in the film is going clash with Rajini. A.R. Rahman scored the music for the period-type extravaganza and he already completed few songs.

Rajinikanth is unhappy with Deepika Padukone

Superstar Rajinikanth is not happy with the look of Deepika Padukone in his upcoming film Rana. Rajini, who is very particular about every aspect of this film, is keen on all the details. Hence, the look designed for Deepika had to be changed as the superstar is not at all impressed with it.

Rana is a very different film that spans three different time periods. Rajinikanth plays a multi-generational triple role and Deepika Padukone is paired opposite him in his youth. Rajini has now asked the make-up team to go back to the drawing board and devise a new look, sending the entire schedule into a tizzy. Only after Rajnikanth okays Deepika’s look, will the shoot commence.

Rajinikanth has reportedly told director K S Ravikumar that he felt Deepika needed to look simple, yet traditionally beautiful, and that wasn’t coming across in the current look.

Chennai: Anna Hazare has won many Bollywood supporters for his "India Against Corruption" campaign. The 72-year-old Gandhian led a massive people's revolution last week that forced the government to commit to a new law against corruption. The Lokpal Bill will be introduced before the monsoon session of Parliament ends, the government has promised, under the watchful eye of Anna.

Aamir Khan has participated in Anna's campaign. Hrithik Roshan and other stars have also said they are "with Anna."

Now, India's biggest star - Rajinikanth - has said he wants to work with Anna to help India push the Delete button on Corruption. In Chennai today, the actor with an unparalleled box office record said that corruption is India's biggest problem and he would like to work with Anna to combat it.

Rajnikanth Game For 'Robo 2'

Superstar Rajnikanth has finally agreed to work on the sequel to his blockbuster Endhiran 2 after first rejecting the proposal.

Most of the crew members from the original film would also be a part of the film this time.

But, there is still no confirmation of Rajnikanth’s co- star from the original Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s participation in the sequel.

100 Crores & 7 Heroines for Superstar

Rajinikanth's highly discussed film 'Rana' is surprisingly to have seven heroines but not three heroines as said earlier. As per director KS Ravi Kumar, except Deepika Padukone no other heroine is finalized. This is third film for KS Ravi Kumar with Rajinikanth to be made with a budget of Rs.100 crores. Three of these heroines will star besides Rajini and remaining four will be cameo appearances and other important roles in this period film. Shooting will likely begin in mid April or May in London. "No, we haven't spoken to Rekha and neither did she refuse to be part of the film. We didn't talk to Asin either. I spoke to Vidya Balan but not yet decided about casting her in this film. Still there is a big list to zero upon," said Ravi Kumar about 'Rana', which would have script provided by Rajini himself.

Rajinikanth Fans Angry On Heroine

The legacy of Rajinikanth needs no explanation and the devotion of his fans towards him also doesn’t require any introduction. Big B to do cameo in Rajinikanth's 'Rana'

Rajnikanth and Amitabh Bachchan will be finally sharing the screen space after 20 years, as Amitabh will be appearing in Rajinikanth's trilingual movie Rana for a cameo role. Amitabh will be seen in a few scenes in the second half of the film. But other details about his character have been kept under wraps. In Rana, Rajnikant does triple roles.

Rajnikanth and Amitabh have been good friends for long time and in the past they have done Bollywood films like Andha Kanoon and Giraftar. The last time the two legends shared the screen space was in Mukul Anand's Hum in 1991.

Hot Aunty Rejects Rajinikanth's Film

The common law throughout the Indian cinema is that no one says NO to superstar Rajinikanth. Instead, many wait to say YES to be part of a Rajini project. However, one person has now broken that law and she is the eternal diva Rekha. All this is happening for Rajini’s magnum opus Rana.

Our sources in Bollywood reveal that Rekha has walked out of the trilingual project since she has few issues on the remuneration aspect with the makers. Now, the makers are looking at ‘Dream Girl’ Hema Malini to fill in the shoes of Rekha and already Deepika Padukone has been confirmed as one of the three leading ladies. It is heard that Rekha has demanded a whopping Rs 4 crores.

For now, Rekha was not available for comment and the official spokesperson of Eros has stated that a formal announcement would be done once the casting has been finalized. The film is being produced by Ocher Studios and it is directed by K S Ravi Kumar.
