SS Thaman, the music director who shot to fame all of a sudden ever since ‘Kick’ is now busy as music director. But many call him just a programmer but not a creative music director. Negative talk is in spread about him these days. His ego without proper talent, his anger without reason, and his disgust without patience have been irking many directors these days, as per sources. On the other hand, sources close to him say that he also suffers from comparison syndrome with DSP.

The talented music maker Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) is not only a good composer but he is also a skilled dancer. Well, this is seen when Devi Sri does stage shows in India and foreign countries. Along with dance, he has very high energy levels with a special ability to involve the spectators.  Now all this is reportedly not going well with Thaman as he cannot do all that because of his obese body, as per sources. That’s why, it is heard that his remuneration is not growing due to lack of visibility and the ability to entertain live audience.

Filmnagar sources reveal that Devi Sri gets Rs 1.25 crore per film but Thaman is getting Rs 50 lakhs. As a result, Thaman is getting more films but he is losing quality. Added to this envy, buzz is that he is getting irritated if small directors are asking for quality in the tunes. With envy and poor quality, the Thaman mania has the risk of losing its sheen soon.

Quality music and never heard tunes made this young music director much popular in Telugu Film Industry. However, our calculations and equations never remain the same. Thaman is currently the busiest music director with almost 3 Telugu projects nearing completion, 4 Tamil films in hand. Many producers who have approached Thaman are saying that the fat-man gives quality only when offered good money. People are quoting Raviteja's 'Veera' as the best example for this. In this latest flick of Thaman, music is neither appealing nor titillating. Even the background score goes pale with less energetic compositions. However, critics reacted the other way round. They have been blaming the director for not extracting good music from Thaman, who has given tremendous hits like 'Kick' and 'Brindavanam'. They went on saying that it is not money that is related to output, it is just a director's heart need to sync with Thaman's heart.

The most talked about name when it comes to music directors are that of S S Thaman. With super hits like Kick, Brindavanam and Mirapakay to his credit, he is rocking ahead. For someone who acted in a role for the film ‘Boys’ Thaman has come a long way to prove his mettle as a music director. However, it is now heard that he has been looting in his own way.

Looting what? Sources say Thaman has been looting the hearts of producers by giving quality music at half the price of top music directors. Currently, the buzz is that he is busy with 10-15 projects at a time sitting in Chennai. Inside talk is that he has been busy with number of Telugu projects.

Adding to that Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam directors are reportedly waiting at his lounge for getting the thing done amidst his busy schedules. They say that the unique thing about Thaman is that he is giving out his best music under great pressure. Well, it looks like here is one music director who is busy looting hearts with quality job in shortest time.
