It was the film ‘Amma Naana O Tamil Ammayi’ that made many take notice of the Malayalam beauty Asin. The film was directed by Puri Jagannadh and from then on, there was no turning back for Asin. Today, she has been making her presence felt in Bollywood and now it is heard that she has bagged a biggie.
 
Well, the time has come for the ‘Tamil Ammayi’ to become a ‘Tamil Ammayi’ once again. Sources from Mumbai reveal Asin is likely to be roped in as the heroine for the screen adaptation of the book ‘Two States: The Story Of My Marriage’ written by Chetan Bhagat. This would be directed by Vishal Bharadwaj.
 
Buzz is that Asin is likely to pair up with none other than Shahrukh Khan. The story is about the romance between a north Indian boy and a south Indian girl. So given the ‘Tamil’ roots of Asin, she is definitely the best choice. Let us hope this works for Asin and she finds the much needed recognition in Bollywood.
