Prominent producer Suresh Babu says, Tollywood’s exposure to drugs is limited and the industry could well do without all the negative publicity that it is currently getting. In all fairness that could very well be the case. Tollywood’s participants are public figures. And the industry is a high-pressure one. The real estate boom in 2004 -2007 ensured that a lot of people jumped in into film production pursuing glamour and easy money. Not surprisingly they realized that both in their own ways are an illusion. Ask any producer who knows the craft and he will let you in as to how difficult it is to make a movie that connects with the masses. The fact that Suresh Babu was making is this. The film industry is no different from any other business in the sense you work as hard if not more to make and sell a good product. The only difference being, the results (especially) the good ones get very high exposure. As the drug bust case proved, the bad news too gets a very wide exposure.
