It is often said by cine folks that the key parameter for victory Venkatesh signing any film is that the producers and distributors fall into safe zone when they associate with him. So, instead of experimenting much, Venky chooses the family entertainers genre. Now, it appears that the same has happened with his latest treat.
 
We are talking about the film ‘Bodyguard’. Though it is given as a story by Malayalam director Siddique those who have watched ‘Bodyguard’ say he must have written this story watching few films of Venkatesh. In fact the films like Raja, Adavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule, Malleeswari etc depict the similar kind of emotion graph that Bodyguard did. As it came in Tamil as ‘Kavalan’ and ‘Bodyguard’ in Hindi, the audience there are not used to this storylines so they gave a big hit.
 
But the Telugu audience is used to such formulae from Venky. Though it didn’t create bore to the audience, it is beaten track because Venky has done that before- love, sincerity, breakup, sympathy and finally patch up.
