Mahesh Babu Is Not A Curry Leaf!

The Congress party will give utmost respect and due position to “Prince” Mahesh Babu, if he really joins the party and does not treat him like a “curry leaf” (Karivepaku) in the soup.

Congress MLC Ranga Reddy, the close aide of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, said Mahesh Babu had not come out with any proposal to join the Congress party, nor was there any official invitation from the party to the Prince.

“All that I said in the past was Mahesh Babu’s uncle Seshagiri Rao was already in the Congress party and was given a good position; if Mahesh Babu also joins the party, he would be given a suitable position. But I never said Mahesh Babu would be joining the Congress immediately,” he said, in a television debate on Monday.

Ranga Reddy pointed out that the Congress party had always shown utmost regard to celebrities who joined the party, whether it was Daggubati Purandeshwari or Dasari Narayana Rao. Even Chiranjeevi is going to be given prominent position.

“Unlike the use-and-throw attitude of Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu towards the family members of NTR, the Congress party never treats anybody. We will not use Mahesh Babu as “Charulo Karivepaku” (curry leaf in soup),” he said.
