CBI Bluffing On Leaking Anti-Jagan Stories!

The Central Bureau of Investigation, investigating into various scandals including the alleged illegal assets case of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has been under attack for deliberately leaking the course of investigation to a section of media, having enmity with Jagan.
It is a known fact that the kind of reports being published by Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy almost everyday against Jagan is the result of off-the-record talk by none other than CBI joint director V V Lakshminarayana. He is so media friendly that he is regularly in touch with reporters from select group of the media. However, most of the times he requests them not to carry stories that would hamper the progress of investigation.
But the anti-Jagan dailies obviously never follow the basic ethics of journalism in reporting such leaks without any official confirmation or taking the version of the opposite party. They continue to carry the reports based on the CBI’s off-the-record talk, quoting “sources in the CBI.”
Apparently realizing that these leaks would prove counterproductive to it in the court of law, Lakshminarayana on Tuesday openly requested the media not to carry stories based on imagination and hearsay, unless they get any concrete evidences.
“Such reports will hamper the investigation. The CBI has never leaked any story to any media. And the media, too, should have restraint while reporting about the ongoing investigation of the CBI into various cases,” he said
