YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who has been promising all things to all people if he comes to power in the state in the next elections, wants to resolve every contentious issue within the first hour of assuming office as chief minister.
Jagan has got yet another issue which he promises to solve within one hour of taking charge as the Chief Minister. On Tuesday, he went to Gandhi Medical College to call on the junior doctors who have been strike for an increase in stipend for several days. And he made the instant promise that he would resolve their problem “within one hour of assuming office.”
“What the junior doctors are asking is fully justified. All that they want is an increase in stipend, which can be granted without much difficulty. As soon as I take over as the Chief Minister, I will take up the junior doctors’ issue as the first file,” he said.
Already, Jagan has several other issues which he promised to resolve in the first hour: removal of VAT on textiles, cancellation of thermal power plant at Srikakulam, remunerative price for farmers and fee reimbursement for students. And the days go by, he will get more and more issues that would climb up the list of priorities.
