It was with great hype and hoopla that the film ‘Veera’ hit the screens and many expected Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja to repeat box office success. However, the film evoked lukewarm response and in no time was marked down by the critics and the audience. But now, a ray of hope has emerged.
It is heard that the film has been clipped by 16 minutes and the response is better. Overall, though the film got a negative talk in A centers, buzz is that B, C centres are giving good response. According to the distributors, they are saying thanks to summer along with the Ravi Teja following. Even the glamour quotient of Kajal and Taapsee has reportedly added some value.
A key distributor of the film revealed “In ceded areas, ‘Veera’ is a success as profits are flowing but Krishna and Guntur districts scored a flop. Naizam area is safe as investment has been recovered with some decent margin. East and Vizag areas have emerged safe.” Going by this, on the whole what was meant to be a utter dud has turned out to be better grosser.
