The war of words between senior actor Nandamuri Balakrishna and megastar Chiranjeevi and the clashes between the fans of both the leaders created a sort of embarrassing situation in the Telugu film industry.
Movie Artiste Association president and yesteryears’ hero Murali Mohan expressed concern over the clashes between the fans’ associations of the two heroes and the burning of each other’s cut-outs.
“Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna have been good friends in the film industry and they never had any bad blood between them. Just because they have come into politics, there is no need for them to become rivals. I request their fans not to link the politics with film industry. Let there be harmony and friendship between them,” he said.
To a question, Murali Mohan said there was no possibility of Balakrishna contesting against Chiranjeevi in any election at all. “They may make such statements, but it is not possible in reality,” he said.
