Balayya-Chiru's Free Entertainment

The last few weeks has been seeing an interesting duel. This is between Nandamuri Balakrishna and Chiranjeevi. Though they hail from film background, their battle is happening on a political platform. However, more than the intensity of their words, it is their dialogues which are providing free entertainment to the public and especially their fans. Incidentally, they never fought on the celluloid.

Despite few silent ego clashes, there has never been a public showdown between the two during their heydays of career. Instead, both always tried to demonstrate camaraderie. However, all that is changing with their political stint.
As such, Chiru is still a baby in politics and he already had his share of brickbats after setting up a party and merging it. On the other hand, the Nandamuri scion Balakrishna doesn’t have to deal with that as his shrewd ‘Viyyankudu/Bava’ Chandrababu Naidu is there to take care of Telugu Desam Party.

Right now, all eyes are on the various satires, counters that are taking place between Chiru-Balayya. This was triggered by Balayya’s comment on Chiru’s mantra ‘Saamajika Nyayam’. This was followed by Chiru terming Balayya as a ‘kid’ and adding “We have been good friends.” But Balayya’s slammed his thighs and challenged Chiranjeevi. Not stopping at that he brought his late legendary father NTR into the scene and compared Chiranjeevi to him. This was met with huge retaliation from the PRP cadres who referred to Balayya’s ‘shooting’ incident of Bellamkonda Suresh etc.

Amidst all this drama entered Lakshmi Parvathi who said Balakrishna’s IQ levels were too low. She added that Balayya would have been in prison if YSR didn’t intervene. Chiru from his end is contributing by firing Chandrababu and the TDP coterie. For now, the status is such that the Congressmen are taking a ‘wait and watch’ stand for Chiru while few TDP leaders are providing their support to Balayya. With so much happening, the public are not resting as there is non-stop entertainment happening from the aspiring politicians turned stars.
