If Sachin is the god for cricket, for me…you are the god of Tollywood. I may sound fanatical but my growing years have been spent watching your films, taking inspiration from your dialogues, getting charged by your dance moves and feeling motivated by listening to your messages. I call you as ‘Annayya’ fondly but you are more than that for me. And with the kind of bond I share with you, it is paining to see the way you have chosen and the price you are paying for that.
Annayya…my anguish comes after watching a news feature about local youth of Tirupathi filing a complaint you are missing. Things got embarrassing with the cop saying mockingly “he is missing we are also searching”. For many years, we have done milk abhishekams to your cut-outs, spent fortune to get the first day first show tickets. Luckily, life has worked well for me in studies and I am with a good job but those who were with me during those days are still there in Eluru and Guntur chanting your name.
Though I had passion for cinema and at one point decided to run away from home to become a star like you, it didn’t work. I also took a picture with you in a crowd and that has a special place in my room today. But then I realised soon that education is better for me and that changed my life. My eyes have opened annayya…why not yours? Why politics for you? I am unable to bear when my friends are taunting me with comments because I am your devotee.
Everyday, you come up with some goof up and they have a field time riding on me for that. I am feeling hurt not for myself but the way you have become. Annayya…politics is not your cup of tea…just like I realised becoming an actor is not my cup of tea. Why are you still clinging to that? Please..if you want to do something for the people, do few more films and give us entertainment. Continue with some social activities but attempting that in the garb of a politician will not work Annayya…please please do something about this and make me and many like me proud about you….
