Why SP Balu Mania On FM Radios?

Just like the mobile phones, FM Radio has become an integral part of many lives. Listening to songs while going to work, or at work or anywhere has been a daily routine. However, it is being noticed that most of the times the FM radio stations are playing songs that came in later 80s till 95.
 
Ideally these are hit songs and here is the interesting bit. Majority of them have been rendered by S P Balasubrahmanyam. It is not because the FM Radio folks are SPB fans but it is noticed that those who are working in these stations are in their early 30s and have been growing listening to Balu songs.
 
They give the tag as audience request and play. It is more to do with the time of growing. If one can notice Akasavani, most of the songs come from the black and white era for the fact that those who are working there are in their 50s. Anyways, as long as the listeners are enjoying the songs, it doesn’t matter whether it is S P Balu or the great Ghantasala on the line.
