Though Revathi did movies like ‘Prema’ the cinema industry tagged her as a performance oriented heroine and art-house actress. Same might happen with Nithya.”

Another senior cine journalist added “There is no doubt that Nithya has an extremely magnetic and expressive face. But she is not focusing on her figure and is little plump. If she does something about it then okay but otherwise, she has all chances to become today’s Revathi for Tollywood.” Wonder what Nithya’s plans are…

Sirish Bharadwaj Crying For His Daughter

The latest development in the Sirish-Sreeja marital trouble case is that Sirish has surrendered himself in the Nampally Court after his valiant efforts to secure an anticipatory bail went in vain. However, those who were present at the court premises during his surrendering revealed a touching incident.

It is heard that after surrendering himself, Sirish cried a lot. The talk is that he wanted to see his daughter Nivruthi and was missing her a lot. Has director Krishna Vamsi lost his creativity? Why is he not making number one films like before? Having stood as number 1 at one point, Krishna Vamsi is unable to show his creativity among today’s directors. Currently, he is busy with ‘Mogudu’ starring Gopichand and he has pushed the dream project with Akkineni family to the shed.

Later, he stated about doing a film with Ramcharan but finally he got busy with ‘Mogudu’. Krishna Vamsi who celebrated his 49th birthday recently shook Tollywood at one time. After giving super hits like ‘Khadgam’ ‘Gulabi’ ‘Sindhuram’, he got stuck with ‘Chakram’ starring Prabhas.

Then he passed time by doing films like ‘Chandamama’ ‘Sasirekha Parinayam’ with small heroes. During his 16 year tenure with cinema industry, he came up with one film per year. Among them, the count of Phats is more than hits. ‘Danger’ ‘Chakram’ ‘Rakhi’ ‘Sri Anjaneyam’ ‘Chandralekha’ became flops while ‘Chandamama’ ‘Sasirekha Parinayam’ ‘Antahpuram’ became good treats.

KV also showed his presence in Bollywood. By teaming up Nana Patekar, Karisma Kapoor, Shahrukh Khan he did ‘Shakti’ and burnt his hands and removed their Shakti. Keeping flops aside, it must be said that Krishna Vamsi has lost his creativity. Stepping into his 50th year, it is an open fact that he is unable to compete with the likes of V V Vinayak, S S Rajamouli, Puri Jagannadh.

Ravi Teja's Musical Chair Competition

Wherever there is Ravi Teja, there is bound to be lot of energy flowing and a good amount of hungama happens. Right now, that seems to be the case with the directors of his projects. Apparently, the hot star has got a long list of projects and he has set a condition for the directors.

As such, Ravi Teja has got projects with Nandini Reddy, Gunasekhar, Siva of ‘Souryam’ fame, Meher Ramesh. The condition is they should come with a fully bound script and they should not drift from the script even by an inch. Every scene and every line in the script has to be perfect and implemented.

When it comes to surviving by speaking dialogues rather than writing them, Paruchuri Brothers hold the first spot. The likes of Kona Venkat, Abburi Ravi come only after Paruchuri Brothers. In the past, the hearts of these brothers were stolen by few heroines and character artistes. At that time, even the brothers were in ripe age.

But now, a strong grapevine is making rounds that the Telugu girl Archana alias Veda has clean bowled the younger brother Paruchuri Gopalakrishna who is almost on the verge of celebrating his ‘Shashti Poorthi’. It was nearly fifteen years ago, the brothers directed a super flop movie titled ‘Singanna’ with R Narayanamurthy. After that, they shivered with the word direction.

However, whether it is due to the red scarf around his neck or something else, Parachuri Gopalakrishna who is known to be a bit bolder than the two brothers is now getting ready to direct a film for the pretty girl Archana.

Third-degree treatment awaiting Sirish?

Sirish Bharadwaj, the younger son-in-law of hero-turned-Congress leader K Chiranjeevi, is fearing a third-degree treatment from the police for his alleged harassment of his wife Srija.

The Nampally criminal courts, before which Sirish surrendered on Wednesday, handed him over to the police custody on Friday and permitted the CID police to interrogate him.

At the same time, the court deferred his petition for bail to next Monday.

Now, everybody knows what is meant by police custody and how the interrogation would be. The police would use all their techniques and make Sirish confess to his crime of harassing his wife.

More so, since Chiranjeevi has joined the ruling party, the police will make every attempt to see that the case turns in favour of his daughter Srija.

It may be mentioned that Srija lodged a complaint with the Central Crime Station women police in Hyderabad in March, alleging that her husband and mother-in-law were mentally and physically torturing her, demanding a dowry of Rs 1.5 crore from her parents.

Now, while Srija is happily doing shopping in Dubai, her estranged husband will be subject to torture by the CID police!

Surprisingly, Neetu's debut film as director is a story revolving around lesbian relationship. When questioned her about the same, she replied,"What's wrong if I choose a subject on them. Are they not humnas?". "Neetu knows well that sex sells anything. That's one reason why she has choosen such bold subject. Even if the film fails, she will be in the news all the time - before and after the release," says a film critic. More than anyone, Neetu knows better how to be under constant media glare.

'I don't regret for over-exposing'

Katrina Kaif, who will be seen smoking in her upcoming film on Yash Raj banner, says she will never do it again on screen. "I will not smoke again on screen. I knew that film stars have the responsibility towards the society. I will never cross the line," said Katrina. The actress clarifies that she has no regrets over excessive skin show in her earlier films. "I like to live life on my own terms. I have always done the best I could do depending on the situation. I don't regret for over-exposing in my earlier films," she says. Katrina is ruling the Ad world at the moment endorsing some of the top brands. "Everyone is treating Katrina as a star now. She's lucky enough, as many of them haven't seen her first film 'Boom', where she over-exposed and also done few intimate scenes," says an ad filmmaker.

Telugu 'Guzaarish' hitting soon!

No! We are not saying that Hindi film 'Guzaarish' is getting dubbed into Telugu language. The film was a flop in the Hindi arena though it won critical acclaim and there is no chance of it getting dubbed here. Apparently, Prasad Labs, the pioneer of Telugu Cinema is coming up with their production venture after decades. To start up, they are said to be coming up with a movie that has 'euthanasia' backdrop. The look and  feel of the movie is expected to look like 'Guzaarish'. The central character and it's petition to die in the Supreme Court Of India is the central plot, say sources. The movie is getting huge expectations as 'Prasad Labs' is coming back to producing movies after a long time. Titled 'Rushi', the movie is going to hit floors very soon and a fresher is the director. Watch out this space for more interesting updates.

Charmee To Promote Devi In Bollywood

Though he has not done anything to promote her in Tollywood or Kollywood, it is heard that Charmee is doing everything possible to promote her ‘dear’ friend Devi Sri Prasad in Bollywood. After making her debut with ‘Bbuddah..’ in Bollywood, Charmee is currently camping in Mumbai trying for a second offer in her own style.

 

Meanwhile, it is known that the song ‘Ringa Ringa..’ was used in the Bollywood blockbuster ‘Ready’ starring Salman Khan- Asin. Taking this as the cue, it is heard that Charmee is trying for a chance to herself and simultaneously promoting Devi Sri.

The hit pair of Nani and Nithya Menon are back and this time, they are seen in a rustic mode. Let us see how good the film is.

Story:Set on the backdrop of a lower class slum, the story begins with Balaji (Muthukumar) who hates his drunkard father Jothi (Shimmore) and leaves home along with his brother Karthik (Nani). Both grow up at their uncle’s place and Balaji ensures their father’s shadow never falls on Karthik who joins engineering.

Meanwhile, Karthik is in love with Revathi (Nithya) and has a very close friend Vishnu (Karthik Kumar). The story takes a turn when Vishnu joins hands with Jothi who becomes a pimp for earning quick money and he takes the help of Karthik for that. Vishnu wants to get his lover Vani (Bindu Madhavi), a prostitute, out of the brothel. However, what seems to be a snatch job changes the fate and destiny of each one involved. What is that incident? How the story turns after that forms the rest of the story.

Performances:Nani has given a subdued performance and it must be said that his presence is mild. He was good occasionally and shows his mettle.

Nithya Menon looks perfect like the girl next door and audience is advised to focus on her magnetic face only. She is expressive and looks natural in this role.

Karthik Kumar displays the wavering character in a good way. Though his performance is not that impact creating, he does his bit as required.

Muthukumar has got good screen presence but then he was stiff in many places and could not convey the required anger and intensity during critical situations.

Bindu Madhavi looks sensuous and carries her role effectively. Though her role was limited, she engages the viewer as long as she is on the screen. She needs to do something about her voice though.

Shimmore looks the perfect pimp and displays the apt histrionics. Jennifer was just okay. The others didn’t have much to offer.

Analysis:First things first, Indian cinema is going through a transition and the new wave of lady directors are knocking the doors open. The likes of Nandini Reddy, Zoya Akhtar are creating a new genre and now Anjana joins the bandwagon. For a debutante, this is a challenging assignment to deal with dark psyches of human side and explore the lower strata of society in a realistic manner.

While her approach towards life in this practical sense is appreciable, there are few fundamentals which Anjana should have considered. A film is made for the conviction of the audience so it is important to keep their pulse in mind to score success at the box office. Here, the elements of formula are missing. Also, the lack of branded actors will go as a setback. Given the fact that it is a dubbed version, no efforts have been made to bring the Telugu nativity.

Overall, the film must be appreciated for the debut efforts but in terms of audience perspective and logical analysis, this may not strike a chord with the family audience. However, given the budget, the film will no doubt land into safe/profit zone.

Bottomline: Racy treat, one time watcher for non-formula lovers!!

Ram Gopal Varma has approached Lakshmi Prasanna Manchu to play the lead role in his next film Department which has Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Rana Daggubati playing the role of police officers. She was spotted attending a photo-shoot in Mumbai for the role. Initial reports suggested that Kangana Ranaut would play the female lead, but sources say that RGV has not yet finalized the casting and keeping his options open.

Lakshmi Manchu has been looking after the film productions of her father Mohan Babu but played the role of an evil witch in Anaganaga O Dheerudu. The film did not do well at the box office, but she received critical acclaim for her role.

She graduated with Bachelors in Theater Oklahoma City University. She has acted in the American Television series Las Vegas and Desperate Housewives. She has also appeared in TV commercials for Toyota, AARP and Chevrolet.

Vidya Balan wore a red gown for an outdoor scene in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, while shooting for the keenly awaited ‘The Dirty Picture’.

Star Hero's fatal accident story

Southern star Vikram has been in the Industry for over a decade and the star says what he is now, is only because of his will power. The actor recollected a fatal accident that occured to him during his college days. "I met with an accident, when Me and My friend were riding a motorbike. My right leg was injured so badly that I was bedridden for 3 years and used crutches for another 1 year. It's my will power that made me normal again," said Vikram. ఉరుము ఉరిమి మంగలం మీద పడినట్లు తెలంగాణా కాంగ్రెస్ నేతలు హఠాత్తుగా తమ చర్చను సినీ ఇండస్ట్రీపైకి మళ్లించారు. తెలంగాణాలో అతితక్కువ ధరలకే భూములిస్తే దాని ద్వారా సినిమావాళ్లు కోట్లకు కోట్లు గడిస్తున్నారని సన్నాయి నొక్కులు నొక్కుతున్నారు.

నల్లగొండ ఎంపీ గుత్తా సుఖేందర్ రెడ్డి పనిగట్టుకుని సినిమా ఇండస్ట్రీలోని ప్రముఖులకిచ్చిన స్థలాలను ఉటంకిస్తూ చర్చకు తెరలేపారు. దర్శకుడు కె.రాఘవేంద్రరావుకు స్టూడియోకోసం స్థలాలిస్తే దాన్ని కమర్షియల్‌గా మార్చేసి రకరకాల కట్టడాలు నిర్మించారని ఆరోపించారు. 

అన్నపూర్ణా స్టూడియోస్‌కు 22 ఎకరాలు, ప్రసాద్ స్టూడియోస్ కేటాయించిన పదెకరాలు, ఆనంద్ సినీ సర్వీస్‌కు ఐదెకరాలు పద్మాలయాకు తొమ్మిదన్నర ఎకరాలను అప్పట్లో ఇచ్చారనీ, వాటి విలువ ఇప్పడు హీనపక్షంగా చూసినా సుమారు 700 కోట్ల రూపాయల పైమాటేనని టి. నేతలు ఏకంగా గులాంనబీ ఆజాద్ వద్ద చెప్పారు. 

చిత్ర పరిశ్రమలో మౌలిక సదుపాయాల పెట్టుబడి కేవలం 93 కోట్లేనని, కానీ వారికి కేటాయించిన భూముల ధరలు మాత్రం కోట్లకు పడగలెత్తాయని విశ్లేషించారు. తెలంగాణా ప్రాంత భూములను కారుచౌక ధరలకే కొట్టేసిన సీమాంధ్రులు ఇక్కడ పెట్టుబడులు పెట్టామంటూ లబలబమంటున్నారని మండిపడ్డారు. 

నిజానికి 1980లో ఈ భూములను తెలంగాణా ప్రాంతానికే చెందిన ఆనాటి ముఖ్యమంత్రి డాక్టర్ మర్రి చెన్నారెడ్డి పిలిచి మరీ ఇచ్చినవే. ఆయన ముఖ్యమంత్రిగా ఉన్న సమయంలో చిత్ర పరిశ్రమను హైదరాబాద్ తీసుకు రావడానికి చెన్నైలో ఉన్న ప్రముఖ తెలుగు సినీనటులు, ఇతర ముఖ్యులను ఒప్పించారు. స్వయానా ముఖ్యమంత్రే అభ్యర్థిస్తుంటే కాదనలేని ఇండస్ట్రీ ప్రముఖులు నష్టాలకోర్చి హైదరాబాద్ తరలివచ్చారు. 

మర్రి చెన్నారెడ్డికి స్నేహితుడు కూడా అయిన అక్కినేని ఎన్నో కష్టనష్టాలను ఓర్చుకుని అన్నపూర్ణా స్డూడియోను నిర్మించారు. నిజానికి ఆయన అక్కడ స్టూడియోను నిర్మించే రోజున అక్కడి భూమి విలువ కంటే ఆయన దానిపై స్టూడియోకోసం పెట్టిన ఖర్చు ఎన్నో రెట్లు ఎక్కువన్నది నిజం. అలా పట్టుబట్టి ఆయన స్టూడియోను నిర్మించడం ద్వారా ఎందరికో ఉపాధిని కల్పించారు. 

ఏరు దాటాక బోడి మల్లయ్య అనే సామెత మాదిరిగా అప్పట్లో తెలుగు ఇండస్ట్రీ తెలుగు రాజధానిలో ఉండాలని నాటి ముఖ్యమంత్రి చెన్నారెడ్డి కలలు కంటే, నేటి నాయకులు వాటి విలువలను లెక్కగడుతూ చేసిన కృషిని చిన్నచూపు చూస్తున్నారు. ఒకవైపు సీమాంధ్రుల జోలికి వెళ్లమని చెపుతూనే తక్కువకే భూములను కాజేశారని అంటున్నారు. 

అంటే... తెలంగాణా ప్రాంతం వారు సీమాంధ్రలో ఏవైనా కంపెనీలు స్థాపిస్తే, వారు కూడా దోచుకున్నారని అర్థమా..? అనే సందేహాలు తలెత్తుతున్నాయి. టి.నేతల మాటలతో అటూ కాదు.. ఇటూ కాదు వచ్చిన చోటికే వెళితో బెటర్ అని టాలీవుడ్‌లో కొంతమంది సినీ ప్రముఖులు చర్చించుకుంటున్నట్లు టాలీవుడ్ న్యూస్.

ఇదిలావుండగా చిరంజీవికి ప్రాధాన్యత తగ్గలేదని అని గంటా శ్రీనివాసరావు వ్యాఖ్యానించడాన్ని బట్టే ఆయనకు తగ్గిపోయిందని అర్థమవుతుందని కొంతమంది అప్పుడే పల్లవి అందుకున్నారు. మొత్తమ్మీద చిరుకు కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీలో ఏదో ఒక ఉన్నత పదవిని కట్టబెడితే తప్పించే వారి నోళ్లు మూతపడవన్నమాట.

ఈ చిత్రంలో లండన్ గాళ్‌గా కత్రినా కైఫ్ తన సెక్సీ అందాలను చక్కగా కావల్సినంత మేర ఆరబోసింది. ఇక హీరో హృతిక్ రోషన్ తన ఫిజిక్‌ను మరోసారి చూపించాడు. ముగ్గురు కుర్రాళ్లు సెలవుల్లో ఒకరికొకరు కలుసుకున్న సందర్భంలో వారి జీవితాలను ఎలా మార్చిందన్నది ఇతివృత్తం. చిత్రాన్ని దర్శకుడు ఆద్యంతం వినోదభరితంగా తెరకెక్కించాడు. ఈ సినిమా మరిన్ని రికార్డులు సృష్టిస్తుందని బాలీవుడ్ ఫిలిం జనం చెపుతున్నారు.

Telugu Hero's Romance With Suhasini's Sister

Creativity is the name of the game when it comes to cine circuit. As expected, there are many who can connect the dots for a hearty gossip. This time, the topic of discussion was Pawan Kalyan and the reason for that is his romance with the sister of actress Suhasini Maniratnam.

Well, the cine folks give their logic “Pawan is teaming up with Suhasini in the film ‘Gabbar Singh’ and she is playing his mother. On the other hand, he is pairing up with Shruti Haasan in the same movie. As such, Suhasini and Shruti are cousins since they are daughters of brothers Charu Haasan and Kamal Haasan respectively. So this is an interesting combination.”

While the Cine folks are jovially saying this, they also add on a lighter note “Onscreen, it is just characters and not real life relations but having one sister as mother and other sister as lover is a unique achievement that belongs to Pawan only.”

Director Bapu Is Angry On Producer

It is known news that the veteran director Bapu is gearing up to arrive with his prestigious project ‘Sri Rama Rajyam’. This has Nandamuri Balakrishna essaying the role of Lord Rama while Nayantara is Goddess Sita. However, the other buzz is that Bapu has been miffed with producer Yalamanchali Sai Babu.

The reason for that is a mole and it is no ordinary one. It is right above the lips of Nayan. It is heard that Sai Babu had decided to erase the beauty spot of Nayan with graphics. He felt that it will bring a commercial appeal and a glamorous look to the divine image of Sita.

But unit members reveal Bapu is angry with this idea. He was heard sharing his thoughts “What is the harm in beauty? What is the harm in having a mole? That will bring a lot of beauty? Because she is Sita, it doesn’t mean she has to be ordinary.” The cine folks say that in the film ‘Sampurna Ramayanam’ Bapu showed Chandrakala in a very beautiful way. They added that Bapu is good in showing ladies in traditionally sensuous manner so his point is valid.

కాజల్ - నాగచైతన్యల మధ్య ఏంటా "దడ"?!!

నటి కాజల్‌ టాప్‌ హీరోలతో సక్సెస్‌లో ఉంది. తాజాగా నాగచైతన్యతో 'దడ' చేసింది. అయితే షూటింగ్‌లో ఆమె నాగచైతన్యకు దడ పుట్టింది. మాస్‌ తరహా చిత్రంలో నాగచైతన్య కొత్తగా చేయడంతోపాటు కొన్ని సన్నివేశాల్లో చికాకు పుట్టించాడని కాజల్‌ భావించిందట. దాంతో వీరిద్దరి మధ్య చిన్నపాటి గొడవలు జరిగాయని ఫిలింనగర్‌ కథనం. 

దీంతో ఇటీవలే జరిగిన 'దడ' ఫంక్షన్‌కు కాజల్‌ హాజరు కాలేదు. అనారోగ్యం రీత్యా ఆమె హాజరు కాలేదని నిర్మాత వెల్లడించారు. అయితే ఇగో వల్ల ఆమె ఫంక్షన్‌ రాలేదని తెలిసింది. నాగచైతన్య మాత్రం ఆగస్టు 22న సినిమా విడుదలయితే అవుతుంది. సక్సెస్‌ అయితే అవుతుంది అన్నట్లు ఇంట్రస్ట్‌ లేనట్లుగా మాట్లాడడం ఆశ్చర్యానికి గురిచేసింది.
