Puri Can't File Taxes, Thanks To Producers

Months after the release of his film Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap, director Puri Jagannath is still waiting for the fulfillment of all the promises made to him by the producers AB Corp and Studio 18.
Puri was promised a 33% share in the profits of the film after being signed as the director and later being asked to play the line producer’s part as well. Puri, who had let go two big projects for the Amitabh Bachchan starrer, is still waiting for the settlement.
The filmmaker is in fact, more concerned about receiving the agreement documents from the producers, revealed a source.
“Puri is not concerned about the payment at the moment. He wants the documents to file his income tax returns. The documents that were earlier sent to him by the producers did not have the required signatures. The final documents never reached him. Puri even contacted AB Corp officials. But they were not even aware it seems,” informed the source.
When contacted, Vikram Malhotra, COO of Studio 18 said, “As a policy, we do not comment on any commercial matter pertaining to our organisation or to our partners. I am sure whatever the issue is, it will be resolved.” Jagannath Puri and AB Corp remained unavailable for comment.
