Known for his witty, sarcastic and pungent comments, Communist Party of India state secretary K Narayana has made an interesting comment on senior IAS officer Y Srilakshmi, who has since been arrested in connection with the illegal mining scam of mining tycoon Gali Janardhan Reddy.
“I have been watching Srilakshmi for quite some. She is a very beautiful woman. At the same time, she is as corrupt as her beauty. She has resorted to the worst level of corruption in the scam,” he said.
He recalled hat in the initial days of her sting as IAS officer, Srilakshmi used to be a sincere officer. “I was confident that she would go to the Central posting one day. But she has to Central jail, as she had turned terribly corrupt in the later years,” he said.
Narayana, however, said there were several IAS officers who were honest and sincere. But they never stayed in any posting for few months,” he observed.
