Simran was the darling of the masses in late 1990s and early 2000 swaying the hearts of youngsters. She combined glamour, performance and style to dominate the filmdom for several years. She had paired opposite almost all actors including Kamal Haasan, Ajith, Vijay, Vijayakanth, Madhavan among others.
She chose to bid bye to acting after her marriage with a Delhi-based pilot Deepak Bhaga. Simtan, who was back to do the greasepaint for some television serials, is now all set to take a new avatar.
Simran is now keen to direct besides producing a Tamil movie. Interestingly it would be a remake of a recent Hindi movie. Without divulging more details, Simran says, 'Yes, it’s my longtime wish to direct a film and it’s coming true now. I am busy penning the script these days'.
The actress, who recently gave birth to a baby boy, adds: 'I know the pulse of the audience since I had acted in many a commercial hit. So I am writing the script accordingly. It will suit to all sections of the audience.
