Story :
A Masala entertainer, the story begins with Shankar Narayana (Prakash Raj) who is a do-gooder and he is like a god to his people. He has a strong influence on his son Ajay (Mahesh Babu). When Ajay is young, Shankar Narayana is attacked by the villains (Kota, Supreeth, Sonu Sood) and he is thought to be dead. Meanwhile, Ajay is unaware of this and grows up to become a police officer and he starts hunting down all the bad guys. By this time, Nayak (sonu) becomes a big mafia don. Ajay is given the task of wiping out Nayak. Meanwhile, Shankar Narayana recovers but doctors make it clear that he must not be put under any stress. Ajay manages that and meanwhile he also falls in love with Prashanti (Samantha). The story takes a turn when Ajay discovers what exactly happened to Shankar Narayana and he decides to take all the villains. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Artist Performances :
It is Mahesh Babu's show all the way. He has a strong aura and displays a varied range of performances. His fans will be delighted. Samantha was sweet looking and did her bit wherever required. Sonu Sood did his bit as required but didn't have that vigour due to poor etching of his character. Prakash Raj was effective. The best among the lot are Brahmanandam, M S Narayana and Vennela Kishore, the trio has come up with very good comedy. Sonia was alright. Tanikella was standard. Kota was usual, Sayaji was okay, Chandra Mohan was regular. The others did their bit as required.
Plus Points :
Mahesh Babu's Performance
Parvathi Melton's Item song
Comedy
Dialogues
Brahmanandam, M S Narayana, Vennela Kishore Roles
Minus Points :
Erratic first half
Predictable making
Weak etching of villain's character
Slight hiccups in RR
Analysis :
For any formula film, the important ingredient is the comedy and the entertainment quotient. As long as they are balanced well, the impact is high at the box office. That is what happened here. Vaitla as a director is known for his engaging screenplay and banks heavily on comedy and twists. He used it wisely here and though there were the hardcore action elements, he managed to shape things rightly. Since the pre-release hype, the expectations are high on this but if the film is watched with an open mind, the enjoyment will be more. At the box office, there is no traffic and holiday season has begun so success is written all over for it.
Verdict : Entertaining, watch it u will Enjoy.
