Since long, many have been wondering why Shriya has not been able to make it to the number one spot despite possessing all qualities.
Well, here is one reason that might explain. It is heard that the starlet has been resorting to some unreasonable tantrums.
The latest example for that is her walking out of the project starring Manchu Manoj. The role eventually went to the stunning beauty Kriti Kharbanda.
While Shriya has cited ‘date’ issues as the reason, unit members have a different story. It is heard that Shriya was unwilling to don a sari and sport a bridal look as she felt that it would make her look older than Manoj. Things got messy when Shriya reportedly demanded a change in the plot to suit her demands. This didn’t go well with the team and she was shown the exit door, as per sources.
However, Shriya from her end revealed that it was the dates as she had given her call sheets to Deepa Mehta’s film currently shooting in Sri Lanka. The starlet also revealed that due to the Tollywood strike, things got delayed and she could not spare extra dates for the Manchu Manoj project. She maintained that when she wore a bridal saree four years ago why would she have a problem now.
Though Shriya has given her side of the story, the talk from many producers is that they find it real hard to work with Shriya due to her mood swings and highly volatile behaviour. On the other hand, an industry talk is that it is also her misbehaviour with crew members, co-stars and directors which has reportedly increased and made things difficult for her. For now, Shriya is out and Kriti has made the most of it.
