The way Nandamuri Harikrishna expressed his serious displeasure at the Telugu Desam Party leadership at Mahanadu on Saturday made one wonder whether he would revolt against his brother-in-law N Chandrababu Naidu and pull him down.
But the TDP leaders believe that Harikrishna had “no such scene.” According to them, Harikrishna was just a paper tiger and had no guts to take on Naidu’s wily politicking.
“He has not been very active in the TDP politics. He has no personal rapport with any of the party leaders at the district level. He has no backing from any section of the party, except a few leaders in Krishna district. So, what can he do? At the most, he can vent his anger through media,” a TDP leader said.
What about Junior NTR? He is young and aggressive, but has no hold over the party like his father. He is at the most useful for pulling crowds to his meetings, but has no technique of converting the popularity into votes. There is no way the TDP ranks would run after Jr NTR dumping Naidu at this stage. And Naidu can easily tackle this boy in politics, the TDP leaders say.
