In yet another jolt to beleaguered Praja Rajyam Party president K Chiranjeevi, a party activist served legal notice on him for deciding to merge the PRP with the Congress.
In his legal notice, the party worker Lakshman Naidu from Prakasam district alleged that by merging the PRP with the Congress, Chiranjeevi had betrayed the faith of lakhs of people who voted for his party in the 2009 general elections. He said Chiranjeevi had no right to take unilateral decisions without going back to the people who had reposed their faith in him.
Naidu demanded that Chiranjeevi return the money spent by him on the party all these days, since the PRP was going to be merged with the Congress. He, however, did not specify as to how much amount he was seeking from Chiranjeevi as compensation.
