Director Ramgopal Varma has given another indication in his twitter network. He is likely to do a film which will be a rehash of Ramayana but in his own point of view. And Ramu’s point of view is known to almost everyone who follows his films and listens to his ideology. With this, an analogy has been derived between him and the great N T Rama Rao.
Apparently, NTR came up with ‘Daana Veera Soora Karna’ and he showed Duryodhana and Karna in positive light while Pandavas were shown in negative. It is heard that Ramu wants to do Ramayana in ‘DVSK’ style. Now, the thing to remember is Mahabharata is good for depicting better politics, to run the nation and society. Examples like Krishna, Arjun can be given to notify an individual’s integrity and character.
Ramayana is totally personal and with a different genre. Pandavas are not gods but kings and people will accept that. Moreover, ‘DVSK’ did not project Lord Krishna in a negative way. NTR did that carefully without any blasphemy. But doing ‘Ramayana’ in RGV way is something of a concern as whatever the controversies he may cook and however logical he may get, sentiment is something that cannot be played with. Hope Ramu is watchful of that…
