Sexy heroine Kangana Raut might have hit the success with “Once Upon A Time” and “Tanu Weds Manu” now, but when she was still struggling to make a mark in Bollywood, when her first film “Ek Niranjan” was a hit in Tollywood.
When Kangana did the film, nobody knew who she was. It was a big surprise to everybody, when ace director Puri Jagannath not only made her his heroine in the film Ek Niranjan, but also got her remuneration of a whopping Rs 1 crore. It was a talking point in the Telugu film industry at that time as to how she managed to trap Puri and got her bank balance to go up steeply.
There were whispers here and there that Kangana had done “everything” for Puri to express her gratitude towards him.
According to latest gossip doing rounds in the film industry, Kangana has been extending all cooperation to Puri, who is presently camping in Mumbai to do the film “Budddha” with Amitabh Bachchan. She is entertaining him day and night and providing all the support he requires in Bollywood. Not only that, Kangana is introducing Puri to everybody as the most successful director who had erased all the records with his film “Pokiri.” And since the film was remade in Hindi as “Wanted,” Puri is getting all respect in Bollywood. She took Puri to the premiere of film “Tanu Weds Manu,” and posed for photographs for the media, introducing him as her boyfriend.
Now, it is the turn of Puri to repay his gratitude towards Kangana. He is believed to have recommended his friend Nallamalupu Bujji to buy the Telugu remaking rights of Tanu Weds Manu. And he also reportedly offered a full-length role for Kangana in his “Buddha” film!
