Year 2011- A Boon For Tollywood?

From the last few years, the economics of Tollywood box office has been very discouraging. With barely one genuine hit or so, the industry tagged along but didn’t give up. Now, it appears that the year 2011 has turned out to be quite fruitful and cine pundits are hoping the chances of further success are still there.

Apparently, the year started with a big success in the form of ‘Mirapakaya’ and this was followed by the likes of movies like ‘Ala Modalayindhi’ ‘Mr Perfect’ ‘100 Percent Love’ ‘Kandireega’. The box office boost picked up further with the arrival of ‘Dookudu’ which has become a historical hit.

And even ‘Oosaravelli’ has turned out to be a profit grosser. Now, the Tollywood folks are eagerly awaiting the release of promising movies like ‘Rajanna’ ‘Sriramarajyam’ ‘Panjaa’ ‘Bezawada’ before this year. Despite the huge trouble caused by the Telangana chaos, the box office has sustained and the cine folks are happy for the year 2011.
