For the past few days, Nandamuri Balakrishna has been hitting the headlines with his aggressive talk and controversial comments against the political rivals of the Telugu Desam Party during his road shows.
But, there is one thing that has missed the attention of the media. He has been indulging in war of words with megastar-turned-Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi, but he has not taken the name of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy nor made even indirect comments against him, despite the fact that Jagan is the major threat to TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu.
The reason for Balaiah’s silence towards Jagan is not beyond one’s comprehension. It is an open secret that Jagan had helped Balaiah to wriggle out of the murder-attempt case, involving producer Bellamkonda Suresh during Y S Rajasekhara Reddy regime. Though YSR could have used the situation to fix Balaiah and thereby, the TDP, he did not do so, because Jagan took initiative in solving the issue at that time. Now, Balaiah is showing the gratitude by refraining from attacking Jagan.
Interestingly, Jagan is said to be a big fan of Balakrishna and the latter’s movies get good response in the Rayalaseema region. It remains to be seen how Balaiah campaigns for the TDP, without attacking Jagan.
