While Shriya has cited ‘date’ issues as the reason, unit members have a different story. It is heard that Shriya was unwilling to don a sari and sport a bridal look as she felt that it would make her look older than Manoj. Things got messy when Shriya reportedly demanded a change in the plot to suit her demands. This didn’t go well with the team and she was shown the exit door, as per sources.

However, Shriya from her end revealed that it was the dates as she had given her call sheets to Deepa Mehta’s film currently shooting in Sri Lanka. The starlet also revealed that due to the Tollywood strike, things got delayed and she could not spare extra dates for the Manchu Manoj project. She maintained that when she wore a bridal saree four years ago why would she have a problem now.

Though Shriya has given her side of the story, the talk from many producers is that they find it real hard to work with Shriya due to her mood swings and highly volatile behaviour. On the other hand, an industry talk is that it is also her misbehaviour with crew members, co-stars and directors which has reportedly increased and made things difficult for her. For now, Shriya is out and Kriti has made the most of it.

Time for another update on the love triangle of Shriya Saran- Daggubati Rana- Bipasha Basu. Apparently, strong grapevine has been on about problems between ‘good friends’ Rana and Shriya after the entry of Bipasha in Rana’s life. Now, it is heard that Shriya is breathing fire on the entire episode.

According to sources, Shriya is not happy with the way her name is being dragged into the issue. She has reiterated that she is very much single and is cross with Rana- Bipasha for using her name and gain publicity for their film.

Shriya Set To Walk In Shilpa's Footsteps

South superstar Shriya Saran, whose Bollywood career hasn’t quite taken off so far, plans to follow in Shilpa Shetty’s footsteps and open a chain of spas. Shriya inaugurated her first outlet in Mumbai last week.

The novelty about Shriya’s spa is that the actress has employed a set of visually- challenged people as part of her staff.

According to Shriya, she got the idea of working with the visually- challenged during her college days in Delhi when she would visit a school for the blind with her friends.

She feels it is everyone’s social duty to help special people earn a dignified livelihood and adds that her parents will be in charge of the administrative aspects of her business.
