World Cup 2011 helped sexy model Poonam Pandey to become a household name. The call of fun to strip naked if India wins the World Cup made the 20 year old to face legal threats and moral policing calls. One may think why she didn't get down to her word and stripped the dress in stadium to enjoy the public response? "I was an Indian girl and not allowed to do such things. I did many things like rolling a sensational photo shoot and uploaded the pics in Facebook fan page. I was not at all satisfied. Then I came up with this nudity idea and it worked satisfying me," Poonam said during an interview with a giggling face. Anyway it is a good experience as the bold girl won few movie offers and item numbers which she don't want to disclose at the moment. Yet the girl is looking for right time and all of the sudden you might find Poonam's nudity hitting the headlines one fine day.

The Board of Governors/ Manager The BCCI Dear Sir, I write to you as a great fan of Cricket and above all a patriotic Indian. I want India to win the Cricket World Cup 2011 and am willing to go the extra mile to do anything so that India wins the World Cup. I am a model and actress and have decided to do what I can for India !! I have already expressed my desire to further motivate the Indian Cricket team to perform better and lift the World Cup. I am ready and willing at any place and time of the Indian teams choosing to go in the nude to boost their sporting spirit to perform better. This I say seriously, as there are many studies conducted by various Universities abroad which confirms and infers that such performances/expectations boost and inspire people to perform better in any field, be it sports or otherwise. Even medical books on psychology and psychiatry confirms this. You will appreciate that India has been longing for a World Cup ever since. Cricket today is a religion in India. Should India lose the World Cup it would demoralize  hundreds of crores of Indians and people may react violently in some places too. It is therefore my humble request to you to allow me to perform  in the privacy of the  Indian Cricket teams Dressing room or any other place of your choosing. (YOU MAY ALSO CHOOSE A FOREIGN LAND  LIKE  PARIS IN FRANCE, SO THAT THE LAWS OF INDIA - IF A HINDRANCE, SHALL NOT APPLY) This shall be a private therapeutic performance - with a psychologist's presence and hence cannot be an offence under any law for the time being in force if the team members have no objection and the BCCI gives the go ahead. Only appearing in the nude in Public is an offence but in private with consenting adults for a purpose  therapeutic  is no offence. Even a contract for the same can be drawn up and should not be in violation of the Indian Contract Act as it is not opposed to public policy or morality. Besides the BCCI is not a Government body  and can enter in to such a contract. Now that India has won the ICC World Cup 2011, netizens are keen to know where is model Poonam Pandey and if she would actually run naked as promised. The Kingfisher model earlier said this would be her way of expressing support to Team India. The ace model did state that she will go and strip in front of team India in their dressing room after they lift the World cup."I am a New Generaion Girl!!! However, Poonam Pandey switched off her cellphone on Saturday when India won the World Cup. Sources say the 20-year-old model was being inundated with calls from people either begging her to strip for them or threatening her with dire consequences should she dare go against Indian culture. On Friday, Pandey issued a letter to the BCCI about her plans: "I write to you as a great fan of cricket and above all a patriotic Indian. I want India to win the Cricket World Cup 2011, and I am willing to go the extra mileage. Going nude in private with consenting adults for a therapeutic purpose" is not an offence, and said that a contract for the same could be drawn up as the BCCI is not a government body. She suggested that the BCCI choose another country such as Paris for her striptease to avoid controversy. "I am serious about it as many studies conducted by various universities abroad confirm such performances boost and inspire people to perform better in any field, be it sports or otherwise,'' adds Poonam. Complying with a court order, an FIR was lodged against model Poonam Pandey, who had reportedly said she would bare all if India win the World Cup cricket final, on the charge of obscenity. The FIR was registered against the model at Balrampur Dehat police station after Chief Judicial Magistrate Subhash Chandra issued an order to this effect, taking suo motu cognizance of media reports about her announcement, police sources said.
