Doctorate For Hero Vikram

It appears that the efforts of the talented hero Vikram have now received a special benchmark and that too in the international way. News is that Chiyaan Vikram has been conferred with the Honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts in Acting.

This has been awarded by Universita Popolare Degli Studi Di Milano (UUPN), one of the oldest and most sought after university in Italy. This university is usually called as People’s University of Milan. With this, Vikram becomes the first Indian actor in the history of European Universities to receive a doctorate in acting.

Present during the event were the President and Vice President along with other syndicate members of the University. The guests of honour were the Vice President of West Africa and Member of Planning Commission in China. Vikram from his end was feeling privileged to receive this honour.

Hero's Tender For National Award

Though mainstream cinema and box office success is meant to be the spine for the film industry, the final glory for any actor is when they win a National Award. However, the coveted honour usually goes to those who come up with an offbeat movie or an unusual performance of character.

Right now, one actor seems to be eyeing for the priceless honour. He is none other than Vikram. Apparently, Vikram is gearing up to arrive with his new movie ‘Nanna’ and sources say he is playing the role of man with special challenges and his relationship with his daughter.

Inside talk is that Vikram has come up with a riveting performance and he would be a hot contender for a National Award next year. Vikram has teamed up with Anushka in this one who dons the role of a lawyer while Amala Paul is having a key role. After his unforgettable act in ‘Shivaputrudu’ perhaps it is time for yet another performance from the handsome hero.

Anushka pins hopes on Father!

Sexy Heroine Anushka is still among the best heroines of South cinema despite a string of under par films. Last year hasn't been good enough for her as almost all her films were ended up as flops at Tollywood box office. Right now she has 'Damarukham' starring Nagarjuna and 'Rebel' starring Prabhas in her hands. As both 'Damarukham' and 'Rebel' will take time to make it to theaters and hence she will have to make a mark at the box office in the meantime to stay in the limelight. This is a free make of Hollywood flick 'I am Sam'. Industry buzz says that Vikram has delivered his career best performance in this role. Even Anushka hopes that this 'Nanna' would bring her some luck to survive for couple more years in Tollywood.

Amala speaks about Anushka!

Reading the name as Amala might get you into confusion. But the Amala mentioned here is upcoming actress Amala Paul. She shared experiences on working with Anushka and Vikram in new Tamil film 'Deiva Thirumagan'. Unlike other heroines who enter into catfights working on the same film, Anushka created good bond with Amala and the entire team. "She is down to earth person and good at heart," says Amala Paul about Anushka. Coming to performances in this highly anticipated film, here is what she had to share. "Vikram sir is a mind blowing actor. The way he delivered lengthy dialogues emotionally will touch the audience. I didn't blink even once when I was acting with him. He gave superb performance and I had tears in my eyes most of the times. When camera is not focused on me during Vikram sir's scenes, I thought I could relax but I couldn't resist seeing him," Amala Paul discloses her rapport with 'Deiva Thiirumagan'.
