Mining tycoon and former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy seems to be facing an uncertain future.
With his reputation going down the drain and his properties getting attached, Janardhan Reddy is facing repeated rejection of his bail petitions by the courts at all levels. It is almost five months since he has been arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the illegal mining case and since then, he has been languishing in jail.
Obviously, Janardhan Reddy might be undergoing a lot of mental trauma for being confined to the four walls of the jail, after leading the life of an emperor for several years. The way he is begging the judge to grant him bail creates a sort of sympathy for the advocates, but law is law.
Going by the course of the case and the strong evidences being produced by the CBI in the court, it is unlikely that Janardhan Reddy will get the bail in the near future, till the case reaches a logical conclusion. Unless he falls sick like Ramalinga Raju did, there is no way he can see the outside world in the near future, say legal experts.
