When Junior NTR is the hero, any heroine would go out of her way to pair up with him. If not as a leading lady, they would do their best to atleast share the screen with him for a scene or two. However, one starlet seems to have taken the young tiger lightly.

She is none other than Kajal Agarwal. A source from the camp of ‘Dammu’ revealed that Kajal was requested to spare two days of her time for shooting with Junior on a specially created set. But Kajal reportedly turned it down. To rub salt on the wounds, it is heard that Kajal went ahead and inaugurated a retail showroom after Diwali.

This came as a shock and surprise to many since Kajal has a very good rapport with Junior and both have worked for ‘Brindaavanam’. Going by the grapevine, many are now mystified as to why Kajal has declined NTR and who could be responsible for this decision.

Bad Luck Haunts Charming Beauty Sruthi!

Sruthi Hasan has achieved a hat-trick of sorts with her three quick successive flops in the film industry. Her first two films – “Anaganaga Oka Dheerudu” and Seventh Sense” had bombed at the box office. And going by the talk in the market, her third film, “Oh! My Friend,” too, has turned out to be a average, financially.

Somehow, bad luck haunts Sruthi, despite her fresh and bewitching looks. Many in the industry, who are at loss of logic, are making hasty conclusions about her choice of films.

Even NTR, who had desperately tried to have her on his side in his “Dammu,” but couldn’t do it due to crushed schedules, has now every reason to heave a sigh of relief with her third flop.

It is said Sruthi’s fans, more of whom have been inherited from his father, Kamal Hasan, are unable to digest her “much talked about relation” with Siddardh, a married boy.

Incidentally, Siddardh, who takes irresistible pride in being close to her, has paired her in two of these flops. Brushing aside her rumoured fondness for him, he has been the factor at least for these two mishaps, some conclude.

But still Sruthi has the magic to cast her spell on many top ranking heroes. Nothing bars them from queuing up for her dates.

Nandini Reddy, who became a household name in the state with just one hit, say, ‘Ala Modalayindi’, is now busy finding an off beat story for her next flick.

Sensing her approach in selecting a story, a script writer came not only with a story but a title. Though she could relish his story, she was bit embarrassed with the title. It was ‘Ila Mugisindi’.

It not only looked like a parody to her first film but it sounded as biting sarcasm on her career as a director.

If ‘That was how it Began’(Ala Modalayindi) was the meaning of her first one, ‘This is how it ended’(Ila Mugisindi) could be her second one, the writer annoyed her with his explanation.

As she felt she had bright future as a director, she didn’t entertain this ‘inauspicious’ idea.

MS Narayana Beats Brahmanandam In $$$

Speaking about the number one comedy actor in Tollywood, there is no doubt in saying that it is none other than Brahmanandam. His presence on screen, his expressions and dialogues tend to churn out a lot of laughter for the audience. However, it now appears that Brahmi might have to give his spot.

A name that is making strong rounds in the circuit is that of M S Narayana. Due to his fabulous performance in ‘Dookudu’, MS has scored a major demand. It is heard that his daily call sheet remuneration has gone to Rs 3 lakhs but still getting a single day from him is reportedly becoming difficult.

As far as Brahmi is concerned, he is still between Rs 2 lakhs – Rs 3 lakhs. Even in the latest release ‘Veedu Theda’ more than Brahmi it is the M S Narayana factor which brought entertainment to the audience. Let us see how long he sustains this position.

Great Honor For 'Sri Rama Rajyam'

NBK’s ‘Sri Ramarajyam’ was conferred with a great honor. The film is going to be screened in Goa on a special request.

“We are gratified to inform you that Sriramarajyam movie is being screened in International Film Festival. On request, a special screening for 500 International Media Journalists has been organized on the 28th of November.  It’s been a long time, an Indian Movie banner on mythology has been screened at the International Film festival. We thank the whole team that has been part of the success of the film”, says the producer.

This is indeed a pride of Telugus for taking a mythological product to the reach of international audience.

'Dirty Picture Not A Blue Film'

While he concedes that he has used sex to attract audiences to the film, The Dirty Picture director Milan Luthria maintains that the film is a wholesome entertainer and not a blue film, saying movie- goers were in for a “ surprise”.

“India is a sex- craving nation, so I won’t deny that I used sex as a marketing tool. But behind all that, is a good body of work put in by all the actors. It is not a sex romp, but a good story with romance and humour. The audience will be surprised,” Luthria said.

Fuelling his confidence is the Censor Board’s allclear to the film ( albeit, not surprisingly, with an adult certificate). The Once Upon a Time in Mumbai director feels the board did a brilliant job by viewing the movie “ in the right light and without any prejudices.”

Young Tollywood Director To Tamil And Kannada

It is not often that one gets to see a director from Tollywood venturing into other cine circuits for wielding the megaphone. Though the top league directors are slowly foraying into Bollywood, it takes talent and skill to prove one’s mettle in other languages.

Now, one young director from Tollywood is gearing up to make his presence felt in both Kollywood and Sandalwood. He is Madhura Sreedhar, the director of the recent release ‘It’s My Love Story’. Sources say that recently Madhura Sreedhar was approached by a noted Tamil producer and few discussions took place.

So now, it is heard that Madhura Sreedhar would be taking ‘IMLS’ to Tamil and he would be shooting few scenes with some changes as per the taste of the native audience. A similar thing is happening in Kannada as well. If all goes well then Madhura Sreedhar would be setting a new trend for young filmmakers in Tollywood, making big fortunes with a small film.

As fans eagerly wait for Beti B's "naam karan", new B-town daddy Abhishek Bachchan is still struggling to finalise a name for his daughter.

The Bachchan family welcomed the baby girl Nov 16. Since then Bachchan junior has asked fans to suggest names for the new member on a micro-blogging site.

"The suggestions still pour in and still we haven't managed to finalise a name. Evenings are spent reading out all your suggestions in front," Abhishek posted on his Twitter account.

"Of the family and trying to decide. Will decide soon. Many thanks again. Lots of love," he further tweeted.

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan is busy hosting well wishers.

Why Case On 'RGV Ramayanam'?

It is known news that Ram Gopal Varma has announced another interesting project in the form of RGV’s ‘Ramayanam’. As expected, it has stirred a bit of controversy and now it is heard that few people are coming forward to put a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) against the making of the film.

However, the rationalists and many senior cine folks say “This is a cheap publicity stunt. Many want to be seen in media by making some noise, that’s why they choose someone like RGV and his films because they know how hot he is in the media circles.”

They add “Of course, some are genuinely getting hurt. Though Ramu has mentioned that he is not hurting any sentiment, they say that he should not have used the word ‘Ramayanam’. But in the past ‘Intinti Ramayanam’ came and it was done funnily. So, ‘Ramayanam’ is a regular term used by people. If it has to be used only for holy purpose then how correct is it. As it is, he is not doing the film putting Rama and Seeta with crowns.”

They conclude “Since RGV is in the picture, some hulchul is expected. He did the same by announcing the title for his other project as ‘Bejawada Rowdylu’ and then changed it. Maybe he might change this one as well and ‘Ramayanam’ could just be a working title.” Only Ramu has the answer for that.

Ravi Teja sacks PA for collecting kickbacks!

Bubbling hero Ravi Teja has now got a new personal assistant (or call him manager) to take care of his assignment of dates to producers and manage the shooting schedules.

Till now, he was banking on one of his closest relatives to manage his schedules.

Buzz in the film industry is that Ravi Teja had to go in for a new manager, because he came to know recently that his earlier manager had been charging his own commission from producers while negotiating the actor’s dates.

Apart from the hero’s remuneration, which is about Rs.4 crore till recent past, the producers were forced to cough up another Rs 50 lakh to the manager in the form of commission.

This has come to Ravi Teja’s notice only recently and he got furious. So, he felt, it was high time to change his assistant and hence found a new one in his place.

Illness Keeps Harikrishna Away From Films!

These days Nandamuri Harikrishna, son of legend actor late N T Rama Rao, has not been active both in films and politics. Though he still has the potential and irresistible urge to act in films, he has not been able to do so because of his illness.

According to sources, actor-producer Mohan Babu had recently offered an interesting role to Harikrishna in his film which is in progress, but the latter could not say yes because he was unwell.

Sources said Harikrishna, with his swollen legs, struggles hard even to even to make regular moments like standing and walking. He could, at the most, act in a sitting posture. As he takes little care to his health, the recovery pace from the illness is sluggish.

Harikrishna is an aggressive actor and he wishes to do only such roles. For that, he has to maintain good physique, histrionic movements and perfect dialogue delivery, which he is not able to do because of ill health. In spite of his amazing will power, he is unable to take up the roles offered to him, because of this falling health.

Hope he will recover soon and return to the films with renewed vigour.

Allari Naresh Overindulgence Irks Directors

Allari Naresh has, no doubt, made a mark for himself in the Telugu film industry with the comic-hero image and is considered to be the best in doing such roles after Rajendra Prasad.

But at the same time, there have been complaints against him from directors of late about his excessive involvement in direction as well as changing the script in the last moment. This has really been taxing and testing for the directors.

A source on condition of anonymity tells that Naresh comes out with a crazy idea, when the shooting part is in midway. This could be the result of Naresh watching an English Movie previous night. He, then, sits on the director’s head to add the new scene. If the director is a lame duck, he is left with no option but to copy the scene from the English movie. This might or might not fit into the story, but the director will have to take the risk just to keep Naresh in good humour.

Sources said it was Naresh who had spoiled the prospects of the film “Madatha Kaaja” with his interference, taking the undue advantage of the director Seetha Rama Raju’s submissive nature. Same thing happened in the case of “Dongala Bandi”. Naresh pressurized the producer and director to have an expensive Train shot on him, which was unbecoming for a non-serious hero like him. This shot up the budget which was unbearable for the producer.

Will Rana Become A Bakara?

Though vehement denials are being made from both ends, the cine folks from Mumbai vouch that the equation between Daggubati Rana and Bipasha Basu is more than ‘just friends’. Now, they are saying that Rana should actually thank one person for getting further closer to Bipasha.

He is none other than Shahid Kapoor. Grapevine is that after breakup from her long time boyfriend John Abraham, Bipasha found solace in the company of Shahid but then it is heard that the young hero was not ready to give a commitment since he came out of a breakup with Priyanka Chopra and is yet to get over her.

As a result, Bipasha is now moving more confidently towards Rana to know him better, as per sources. While Shahid is still taking his time and space before thinking about another relationship, buzz is that this has led Bips to get ‘close’ to Rana. Will Rana thank Shahid for all this?
