Bunny Vs Jr NTR: Who Got Better Marks?

Well…the summer season has come to an end and the box office went dry as usual. The two promising movies ‘Shakti’ and ‘Badrinath’ have come and scored duds. Now, for consolation sake, many are trying to pick the better things. With this, a comparison was drawn between NTR Junior and Allu Arjun.

The question is – who was better? Well, this should sound like music to the mega camp because most of the marks have been taken by Bunny. Apparently, the unanimous feeling is that Bunny looked apt as the warrior with well toned physique and committed performance as a protector.

On the other hand, Junior looked disinterested in ‘Shakti’ and to make things worse, his hairstyle and his pant made him look like a clown. For now, the cine folks are giving covering by saying that past is past, let us wait for the next line up of flicks from the two and take a call.

Mega Gift for 'Shakti' Distributors

\Mega Gift for 'Shakti' Distributors
The losses incurred to distributors of Jr NTR's 'Shakti' are so strong that they are unable to recover for next ten years. Like a cold cream in hot summer, producer Ashwini Dutt has come up with an interesting 'recovery' gift for them.

Stylish star Allu Arjun is all set to come up with 'Badrinath' very shortly. The striking hot pictures of Bunny and milky beauty Tamanna have created a fever already. With big names like director VV Vinayak, music director Keeravani and finally ace producer Allu Aravind associating with it, the film is raising the expectations. Now, the twist is, in most of the areas the film got sold out leaving a table profit for producer Allu Aravind. In some parts it is bought by Aravind's good friend Ashwini Dutt, which is in turn given to 'Shakti' distributors to recover previous loss. Insiders are saying that 'Badrinath' is a sure shot hit and will be a 'mega gift' to those weeping distributors. Let's hope that it will not become another 'Shakti', pushing those guys on to roads.

NTR and ileana will never act together again?

Don't be fooled by their on-screen romance. It is now reported that actors Junior NTR and Ileana are spitting fire at each other, causing a huge tumult in Tollywood.

The two who starred in Aswini Dutt's Shakti, which bombed at the box office, have vowed to never work together again, allege sources.

Trouble has been brewing for a long time now. Sources close to the actors claim that they constantly accuse each other of being arrogant. It is said that Ileana doesn't even shy away from expressing her hatred towards NTR in her conversations with filmi friends. The two acted in Rakhi a few years ago and it is alleged that they refused to get along from day one, causing the movie to suffer. Now, things have taken a turn for the worse.

Critics who trashed their on-screen chemistry in Shakti are being told that their hostility towards each other on the sets took a toll on the film. Sources close to them are laughing about the fact that the fight scenes between their characters in the film are the only realistic ones since the two actually quarrelled on sets.

Ileana's hatred for NTR took a public turn when she openly criticised Shakti, calling it a "bad" film. The actress was absent during the movie's release and she allegedly kept herself unavailable for publicity activities on purpose. The fact that NTR is notorious for his mood swings didn't help matters. It is said that he is "unfriendly" with most of his leading ladies. "Ileana hates NTR and doesn't even talk to him on the sets. She comes out of her van when the shot is ready, only to go back soon after. Ileana hates people who smoke around her and NTR deliberately lights up in front of her to annoy her. The only reason Ileana signed up for the film is because they were paying her `1.5 crore," said a close aide of the actress.

Industry sources reveal it is Ileana who will suffer if the matter isn't resolved soon. There's already buzz being created by NTR fans, demanding that she be banned from Tollywood. Ileana is now treading on thin ice, sources add. "Since her movies in the last one-and-a-half years flopped and her statements against Shakti didn't go down too well with the Nandamuri camp, most producers are opting to cast Trisha, Kajal or even Samantha instead of her," said the source.

Ileana Likely To Be Banned!!

The day 'Shakti' released, NTV came up with a program and the essence of it was the film failed to reach the expectations of the audience. This enraged Aswini Dutt who proposed that the channel must be banned. Meaning, they must not be invited to any film press meets, not giving any interviews, trailers.

Whether that is possible or not, it is heard that Aswinit Dutt is adamant on banning Ileana, the leading lady of the film ‘Shakti’.
Recently, in an interview given to an English newspaper, Ileana reportedly said she was disappointed with ‘Shakti’ and criticised that she was narrated one story and the story turned out to be something else on the screen.

She went few steps ahead and said that she can’t ask her fans to watch the film that she doesn’t like and added that’s why she didn’t take part in the promotion activity.
On the same day, Aswini Dutt came up with grand advertisements thanking the Telugu audience for their support, showing collections that ‘Shakti’ will create new records.

But through her statements, Ileana literally conveyed that all those statements were lies and declared the film to be a super flop. After hearing this from the film‘s heroine, who will dare to watch the film?
Taking one crore rupees as remuneration, apart from dancing four steps in audio release function, Ileana did not even participate in the promo activities and instead she did negative publicity. This is reportedly giving Aswini Dutt the ground to ban Ileana and it is heard that even the other big producers are supporting this move.

Ileana Insults NTR And Rana!!!

Having worked with NTR in ‘Rakhi’ and ‘Shakti’ and pairing up with Rana for the first time in ‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi’, the latest discussion making rounds is that Ileana has insulted both of them terribly. That too, while taking part in the promotion event of ‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi’.

Apparently, Ileana was asked who her favorite hero is and she replied ‘Ravi Teja’. Not stopping at that, she added “He is my all time favorite hero”. By saying this, she has insulted all the heroes that she worked with. Ileana has paired up with Ravi Teja in the super flop film ‘Khatarnak’ followed by the super hit ‘Kick’. The only two heroes to repeat Ileana are Ravi Teja and NTR.

In that situation, by declaring Ravi Teja as her all-time favorite hero, Ileana has hurt the egos of all the other heroes. However, since she has lifted the spirits of Ravi Teja in the sky with this statement, the chances of her getting a third project with Ravi Teja looks sure.

Ileana’s confession creates ripples

Ileana admitted that her recent release, Shakti, was big disaster and she didn’t see the movie yet. In an interview to Times of India, the top actress made some sensational comments that the film’s script was changed during the film’s shooting itself. “When I signed on the dotted line, the story was very different. Later during the filming everything changed. What I was narrated was different from what shaped up," she said to the newspaper.

She seems to be clearly miffed with the movie. Because she thought this film would give another boost to her career as flops are filing up. It is nice to see a big actress like Ileana admitting the facts openly but it remains to how would producer Aswini Dutt react to it, as he still claims the film’ s running well.

Ashwini Dutt Ran Away To London

Producer Ashwini Dutt was seen all over the TV channels and newspaper ads recently. The reason for that were the larger than life statements about his movie ‘Shakti’ which was slated to be the costliest film ever made in Tollywood. Despite several signals from the start that the film was not shaping up rightly, Dutt was upbeat and gave massive statements.

Anyways, ‘Shakti’ has come and became a colossal disaster. Now, it is heard that Ashwini Dutt and family are not around. Well, all of them went to London, say sources. This is not for a success holiday celebration but it is heard that they are unable to bear the torture of distributors and are in total depression.

One of the affected distributor revealed “Dutt made his money so he can go to London with his family and relax. But what about people like us who trusted him and spent all our fortunes, where can we go?”. Few cine members are suggesting if this continues then it is better Dutt comes up with some alternative so that the issue settles.

Jr NTR Still Believes 'Shakti', A Hit

The major drawback for any big star is that success tends to push them inside an ivory tower and they fail to realize the ground realities.
That seems to be the case right now with Junior NTR and the reason for that is his stand towards his latest release ‘Shakti’.
Apparently, sources say that Junior believes that the film has become a big hit.
The reason for that is the people around him who are showing wrong records and making him believe that ‘Shakti’ is a hit. One can recall that something similar happened with Nandamuri Balakrishna as well when his ‘Parama Veera Chakra’ released.
But here is another version. Though Junior is saying ‘Thank You’ to such people, personally he is blasting them and is working out ways and means to keep this ‘Dabba Batch’ away. The trade pundits say that if this is happening, then it is truly a sensible thing to do for NTR or else they predict that he would end up like his Babai.

Ashwini Dutt's Joke Of The Decade

With each passing day, the grandeur and glory of Aswini Dutt is fading and the reason for that are his own misdoings. This is the general feeling of the cine folks and while many are not sure why he has been picking up the wrong people and wrong stories for his banner, here is another one which has given a bitter taste.

Dutt has come up with an ad in the Andhra Jyothi newspaper and this time, he was referring to his recent offering ‘Shakti’. Incidentally, he was doing a comparison of ‘Shakti’ with the blockbuster hit ‘Robot’ and was praising the graphics of ‘Shakti’. He also stressed that the audience has been receiving ‘Shakti’ very well due to the high technical standards on par with ‘Robot’.

In all this, many made an observation. They said “Why didn’t Aswini Dutt draw a comparison with ‘Magadheera’? That would have been authentic as the flick was proper Telugu product. It appears that Dutt seems to have got into an ego thing with the ‘Magadheera’ camp since it is produced by Allu Aravind. As it is, comparing ‘Shakti’ with ‘Robo’ is the biggest joke of the decade. Sad to see a great producer like him showing his ego in newspaper ads too.”

Dasari Enjoying 'Shakti' Disaster??

‘Shakti’s disaster should have upset Dasari the most because news is that he spent Rs 10 crores and bought the distribution for the Naizam area. In a way, Dasari should feel bad about ‘Shakti’ than his own directorial venture ‘Parama Veera Chakra’ because with ‘PVC’ he lost only his pride and dignity but not money, producer Kalyan lost his money.

Keeping aside the allegations that the money was not Kalyan’s and that of Bhanu, buzz is that it was due to Aswini Dutt’s overconfidence that Dasari lost tensions on ‘Shakti’. With a sure feeling that ‘Shakti’ will beat the records of ‘Magadheera’ and ‘Pokiri’ it is heard that Aswini Dutt has taken returnable advances from all. That’s why, whoever has bought the film along with Dasari are happy despite the film becoming utter flop.

Whatever may be the situation of others, Dasari is reportedly enjoying the super flop of ‘Shakti’ since he is confident that he will squeeze atleast Rs 5 crores from the Rs 10 crores he gave to Dutt.

Shocking collection figures of ‘Shakti’

As expected earlier, ‘shakti’ might find it tough to pull four to five weeks even in main theatres given ‘Teen Maar,’ ‘100% Love’ and ‘MrPerfect’ are slated for release in successive weeks. With amazing star cast ofJunior NTR and Ileana, here is the first week collection report showing that ‘shakti’ collected a little more than Rs.10Crores.
In specific Nizam had a lion share with Rs.4Crores followed by Coastal Andhra districts. If these figures are interpolated to next few weeks, ‘shakti’ might end up somewhere making total revenue of below Rs.23Crores in its total run. Now, a movie with Rs.45Crores budget collecting less than half of its investment is heartbreaking to listen.

Will 'Badrinath' Be Another 'Shakti'?

With the much hyped ‘Shakti’ turning out to be a colossal disaster, the summer opening has not been that pleasant. However, few Tollywood members are now pinning their hopes on the other magnum opus ‘Badrinath’. While it is natural to be positive about a film, what is the ground reality picture of the film?

‘Shakti’ came with big budget and had an even bigger doom. And considering the budget of ‘Badrinath’, some are asking will this also meet the same fate? A noted analyst said “On the bright side, the first look posters of the film show Allu Arjun aptly as a warrior with his six pack and muscles unlike Junior NTR who looked like he was taking part in a fancy dress competition.”

He added “On the flip side, there is talk that few scenes have been rehashed from the Bollywood film ‘Veer’. Also, it remains to be seen how much the Telugu audience will be convinced by the rather unrealistic concept of an Indian Samurai. Finally, director Vinayak has been claiming that this is not a period film and a pure commercial entertainer so it will be a challenge for him to strike a balance since the first look is giving a completely different impression about the genre of the film.”

Well…that’s the situation with ‘Badrinath’ folks…

'House-Fool' Board Comedy @ 'Shakti' Theatres

When a big film goes dud, the distributors pay the price and as a result, they come up with desperate measures to run the film. However, there are times when such attempts bring laughter and further damage. That seems to be the case with the distributors of the colossal disaster ‘Shakti’.

Sources say the distributors are putting ‘Housefull’ boards in front of theatres in the hope of bringing craze to the film and thereby, some crowds. However, by looking at the boards those who are coming to the theatres are going back thinking no tickets are available. That way even bigger hole is coming to distributors.

As for those who are coming inside to try, they are getting a new experience. The distributors are reportedly saying ”Tickets are over but we will give you in black, please pay Rs 10 extra.” To those who are purchasing with Rs 10 extra are scratching their head after going inside the theatres.

Only 40% occupancy is being noticed and the viewers are fighting with the theatre management. However, the theatre folks are giving covering by saying “Bulk booking has been done but they have not turned up.” With this statement, the thoughts are automatically going towards NTR fans. Well, in all this, not many are understanding the houseful board funda and are becoming fools.

Ashwini Dutt's 'Over Estimation' On Shakti

Doubts are rising in Film nagar such as, whether Aswini Dutt estimated that India will lose to Pakistan in Semifinals? Is that why he got courageous and released his film one day before the finals?. It is known that if India enters the final, the entire nation will be glued to the television sets. It is also known that the theatres will go empty on that day.

Despite knowing that there is a danger like this, if Aswini Dutt has released ‘Shakti’ on April 1st, the cine folks feel that he strongly believed India will lose against Pakistan at any cost. That way, when the entire nation was busy doing prayers and poojas, Aswini Dutt secured a special identity by hoping and expecting India’s defeat.
However, it remains to be seen how much truth is there in this. But then, the big question is why did NTR support Aswini Dutt in all this? By any chance, did he also feel the same like Dutt? Oh…God!!!

NTR 'Shakti' release benefits Pawan's 'Teen Maar'

In what way Jr. NTR Shakti movie's prior release will benefit Pawan Kalyan's Teen Maar? Come summer season and the audience will be expecting release of their favorite heroes' movies. Obviously Shakti and Teen Maar are the films, most anticipated by public and fans of both the heroes this summer. While jr. NTR's Shakti hit the screens on 30 March, Pawan Kalyan's Teen Maar is scheduled for release on 14 April. In what way Jr. NTR's Shakti gained the indisputable verdict of a disaster, it is left for Pawan Kalyan's Teen Maar to register a strong hit. Big names of Junior NTR, Ileana and Aswini Dutt are unable to save the day for ‘shakti’ which garnered huge negative talk on the very first day. Even before its release, Shakti got the negative internal talk, whereas Pawan Kalyan's Teen Maar stands entirely on a different platform. Producer Ganesh Babu and director Jayant maintained secrecy without leaking any information on the final output of film. Audience as well as fans of both the heroes will certainly compare these two films.

With jr. NTR Shakti falling short of expectations, Pawan Kalyan's Teen Maar stands at an advantageous position. Any one plus point, however small it might be, will aid in

Allu Sirish commenting NTR Fans in twitter

Allu Sirish, the CEO of Southscope magazine and brother of Allu Arjun has gained popularity in a short time as he is the only representation of Mega family in twitter before Ram Charan Tej entered. Sirish has been in news several times for wrong reasons like losing his temper on other hero fans and hurling abuses on them.
It was all together different thing today. Releasing the first look of Badrinath on Twitter, he made a comment directed at NTR in Shakthi, ” Kanda unde yodhulake katthi thippe arahatha untadhi ;) ” ( Meaning: Only Muscled Men have the right to handle swords).
It is certainly not healthy attitude from Allu Sirish in a society where hatred between fans reaching new heights every day.

Case Study: 'Shakti'- A Nightmare In Tollywood

Making a big film with big budget and heavy star cast is one thing and coming up with a sensible product out of it is another thing. The best example for that is ‘Shakti’, the costliest film ever made in the history of Telugu cinema.
With names like Junior NTR, Ileana, Aswini Dutt, Mani Sharma in the helm and the story like Parasakthi Peetham as the theme, one can expect no less than a bumper blockbuster but then it turned out to be a colossal disaster. Here is a look from the victims ie the audience.
Ranjit, a hardcore NTR fan lamented “I was 100% confident ‘Shakti’ will beat the record of ‘Magadheera’ but within first ten minutes I knew the film was gone.”
Mujeeb, a resident of Guntur said “It was disappointing to see the warrior role of NTR. It was so stale and pale. According to me, Meher Ramesh is the culprit, he made a mess.”
Anusha, who just finished college said “I wanted to start my vacation with a wonderful film and I thought ‘Shakti’ was it, but very disappointing. So much money and such a horrible product, when will the directors learn to mature.”
Ratnakar who applied leave to office for watching the first day first show said “The good side of the film is Ileana. I can watch her for the entire two and half hours if she is onscreen. Rest of the film never appealed to me.”
Ramana who is an avid cine buff said “I really doubt if the budget touched Rs 50 crores, I could not see that kind of graphics, such mesmerizing action sequences, it was just like a regular commercial potboiler made with formula.”
Srujana revealed “Complicated storyline, confusing direction, amateur narration, the film was a nightmare!!!”
Govind, a businessman said “They say that it is the costliest film, why can’t they hire some Hollywood technicians? Why can’t they improvise the script and make it convincing? For instance, the costumes looked so cheap in design and color. And what was NTR wearing as a warrior, a baggy pant?”
Madhusudhan, a bank officer said “Divinity always appeals to Telugu audience and what director Meher Ramesh has chosen is actually a blockbuster material but he doesn’t have the maturity to handle such intriguing subjects, he can team up with Natti Kumar and do some potboiler masalas.”
A reporter said, “It’s not a social fantasy but sounded like a psycho fantasy. Many films face troubles for not having enough finance in hand. But this is reverse. It’s a over budgeted failure”.
While the opinions were flowing in large numbers it was obvious that ‘Shakti’ has upset many and angered a few as they feel a good project was ruined by the director.

God Cursed 'Shakti' Due To Jr NTR

The clash between man and god has been age old and as much as the atheists would hate to admit, it has been the supreme being who had the last laugh. Right now, something like that seems to be the case with the costliest movie of Tollywood ‘Shakti’ and the hero of the film Junior NTR.

It is heard that in one of the recent TV interviews, Junior was speaking about the film when he said “Usually it is the God who saves and protects man but in this film, it is the man who saves and protects god.” Not many caught the point at that time but now they are bringing it up.

A noted film buff retorted “What sort of statement is that? There is no logic and concept in what NTR said. However, the statement was contradicting and belittling the power of God himself. That’s why it is no surprise that God has cursed our young man and showed who the ultimate power is”.
‘Shakti’ bagged immense negative talk after the morning show on the first day of its release.

Shakthi Movie Review

Junior NTR who is on cloud nine ever since his previous two films Adhurs and Brindavanam turned out to be hits was looking forward to 'Shakthi'. Made with a mega budget of Rs 45 crore by Aswini Dutt, the action thriller had high expectations on it. While Pawan Kalyan, Maheshbabu and Junior NTR are three biggest crowd pullers in Tollywood, the place of number one hero is empty in the industry. NTR Junior's ambition of being number one hero depended on Shakthi. We watched it early on Friday and this is what we think of this picture....
Story
Mahadevaraya(Prabhu) who is a central Home minister is worried about the safety of his daughter Aishwarya(Ileana) and also the precious diamond 'Jwalamukhi' which is gifted to him by his ancestors. This diamond has eternal powers and is the saviour of all the Shakti Peethams in the country. Mahadevaraya discusses the safety of his daughter and the diamond with the swami (Nasser). Meanwhile an Egyptian gang led by Mukthar(Sonu Sood) wants to take away that diamond to bring back the Egypitan Mummies to life.  However, he gets killed in the process of stealing it. His wife Fukthooni wants to avenge her husband's death and trains her son Sakuchi to reattack India to get the diamond. Meanwhile she is also negotiating with Janakiram a.k.a Jackie in Dubai for a sword called 'Rudhrashoolam'. Mahadevaraya is also negotiating for the same sword. Aishwarya who is annoyed with constant security around her, escapes from home and goes on a trip with her friends to Jaipur where she meets Shakthi(NTR) who acts as her guide. Members of the Egyptian gang are constantly after Aishwarya and Shakthi protects her.It is revealed later that Shakthi is a NSA Commando.Mahadevaraya narrates the story behind the diamond to Shakthi and his daughter Aishwarya. The rest of the story is about the connection between the diamond, Shakthi, Aishwarya and the Egyptian team. It is to be seen if the Egyptian gang manages to steal it.
Performances
NTR Junior was the saving grace of this otherwise third degree torture. He is spontaneous, energetic and futuristic star. He carries the entire film on his shoulders and entertains the audience in his sphere of role. Ileana is a disgrace to acting. Her expressions are flat and stupid. Nasser is convincing as swami. Prabhu is a curse to this film and does no good to his silly role. Ali, Bramhanandam,Venumadhav, M S Narayana, Dharmavarapu Subramaniam, Krishna Bhagawan perhaps acted only to increase the number of films in their filmogrpahy. None of them have any importance or relevance in the story. Manjari Fadnis is promising actress and is far better than Ileana in her performance. Pooja Bedi's lip moment and dialogues have no connection at all. She is funny and so are all the villains including Jackie Shroff and Sonu Sood.
Clapworthy moments
Junior NTR's dance performance is outstanding. He gives audience goosebumps with the speed with which he changes his moves in the song 'Thaliya...Thaliya'. The background score of the film is apt for the socio-fantasy flavour of the film. NTR's introduction scene on the elephant drew huge applause from the audience. Tarak impressed the audience by reciting the 18 Shakthi peetam mantra. Junior's dialogue 'Upar Hai Bhagawan...Picture mein Salman...Tere Samne hai Shaktimaan' clubbed with lengthy Hindi dialogue makes one go wide eyed with appreciation. NTR's dialogue 'Nenu raka poyunte, tomorrow ayipoyedi..meaning 'rape' ayipoyedi' evoked good laughter in the theatre. When NTR introduces himself as Rama Rao from Nimmakuru, theatre went bersek. The first half of the film was entertaining and the money spent on the movie reflects in the locations, costumes, sets and action sequences where several vehicles were blown away.
Cringeworthy moments
This movie has a hero, heroine, villain and music. What lacks is common sense in the story. What makes Meher Ramesh think people drove horses and had long hair like Magadheera just 30 years ago?He shamelessly copied Magadheera look of Ramcharan and applied it to Junior NTR and that too did a shoddy job. We are still wondering why the producer had to shell out Rs 1.5 crore to Ileana who is worthless and a mere damsel in distress. It is a pity that even after so many films, her expressions coloare out of place and over the top. She looks plastic and hilariously animated with her coloured hair. Prabhu is the Central Home minister in this movie.  He is easily attacked by Egyptian gang. At times he has security and at times he doesn't.  He goes to Dubai alone and pleads a small time gangster.Such scenes make you want to tear the screen apart. The visual effects are terrible. There is a scene where a scorpio car hits the villain and the car breaks into pieces. This is nothing but taking audience for a royal ride and underestimating their intelligence. Besides this scene, all the jeep blow away scenes in this movie which were done on visual effects look fake. The director perhaps forgot the screenplay completely and the cinematographer was certainly on a holiday mood. Can someone explain why this pathetic film needed Pooja Bedi,Prabhu, Jackie Shroff and Sonu Sood?  Their performances were painfully bad. The songs didn't have a purpose. All it needed for a song to start is for NTR to see Ileana and there goes a song. This film is utter madness in many ways. Pooja Bedi who is an Egytian talks Telugu and comes to Hampi with all her funnily dressed goons and attacks central home minister Prabhu. This is absurdity of all new level. Even the die hard fans of Bramhanandam won't laugh at his stupid jokes and cliched histrionics . Ali's comedy was forgettable and Venumadhav, Dharmavarapu are seen in blink and miss roles with no scope of comedy.
Verdict
Our heartfelt condolences to producer Aswini Dutt. We are sure it will take a long time for him to recover from this shock. 'Shakthi' is not worthy your money. Stay away!!
