If anyone has doubts on the statement that, Tollywood actresses are just glam dolls, then they should have a look at this. Top director VV Vinayak has reacted to the criticism on using Tamanna, just to fill the glamour portion in the recently released magnum opus 'Badrinath'. The directed was not apprehensive is saying that they are hiring lead actresses just for songs, dance around the trees and play the hero’s love interest. "We have been hiring lead actresses only for the songs and to fill the glamour portion. It's a fact that no one can rule out," says VV Vinayak. It's very rare that an actress could get a performance oriented role in the Industry. Though Tollywood is a male-dominated industry, people expect few women centric films here and there. But, that's not happening. There was a time when actresses used to be pivotal part of the script and were even paid more than the male actors. Sridevi is the best example for this, who went on to do powerful roles in commercial films. Let's hope that every actress would do atleast one performance oriented role in a year and atleast one women centric film in their career span.

He sexually exploited me: Actress Vijayalakshmi

Actress Vijayalakshmi has lodged a complaint on Wednesday against Tamil director Seeman, the chief co-ordinator of Naam Thamizhar Iyakkam (NTI). In her four page complaint Vijayalakshmi has said that she was having a close relationship with Seeman for three years, who is now refusing to marry her. The actress and the director became close during the filming of 'Vaazhthugal'. Vijayalakshmi has reportedly complained that the filmmaker has sexually exploited her and now he is declining to tie the knot. "Vijayalakshmi and Seeman have been in relationship for three years.  Since he refused to marry her and obviously ditched her, Vijayalakshmi has now approached the police to take legal action against Seeman," said a police officer. Vijayalakshmi has acted in many movies and also in television mega-serials. She came with her counsels to the commissioner's office and submitted the petition at 2.30 pm. The petition was immediately forwarded to the T Nagar deputy commissioner of police S Thirunavukarasu for further investigation. It may be recalled that Vijaya Lakshmi, had attempted to commit suicide in 2006 after she was harassed by an assistant director of a reality show, which was hosted by her. Later that year, she announced her marriage with a small-time Kannada actor Srujan Lokesh, but their relationship did not last long as they broke up in 2007. According to the sources, Seeman is planning to get married to a Srilankan Tamil girl and the preparations are going on in full swing. Earlier, Seeman has raised his voice for the uplift of Tamils in the island nation of Sri Lanka.

This is to ensure that the pending divorce case, which is for a hearing in late June, will go on smoothly to ensure a positive result on his side. Love story of Prabhu Deva and Nayantara can't be termed as romantic because their story is filled more with controversies. Apparently, news is that Prabhu is going to marry Nayantara anytime in between June and July of this year. Indeed the divorce case filed by Prabhu Deva's first wife Ramlath in family court last December is the reason for delay. As Ramlath was unwilling to settle for a compromise Prabhu Deva offered a sum of Rs. 10 Lakhs in alimony along with three residential properties and two cars which led to smooth progress in divorce. Now, Prabhu Deva is legally executing all the promises step-by-step starting with payment of Rs.5 Lakhs initially then assuring on remaining payment after receiving of legal divorce documents. Sources say that a farmhouse and 22 cent property along with ECR have also been transferred to Ramlath and two sons Rishi, Aditya with Prabhu Deva's name mentioned as shareholder. In fact, Anna Nagar flat will also be transferred to Ramlath and other properties in Hyderabad to his sons names. Once the divorce deal ends properly, marriage of Prabhu Deva and Nayantara will be held in Mumbai.

However, the actress says that she never expected to have such a huge openings. "I never expected Teen Maar to have such a huge openings. Pawan Kalyan is a huge star in Tollywood, but for me, it's just my second film. It actually scared me that I was doing such a big film. I'm relieved that it's being liked by so many people," she says. Kriti praises her co-star Pawan Kalyan, who made her feel comfortable on the sets of the film. "Initially, I was nervous about how I should behave with him. But, he made me feel comfortable and I realised that I could be myself with him. There were no starry tantrums whatsoever," she says. The actress who has been voted the fourth most sexually desired star in Tollywood is already being linked with many till date, right from Allu Arjun to her Teen Maar director Jayant. But, Kriti rules out the link-up rumors and calls them baseless. "I'm single and sick of being linked-up. During the Filmfare awards I was supposedly seeing Allu Arjun. Thereafter, I was reportedly seeing my Teen Maar director. We are good friends. He has a son of my age. It was sick, but it didn't affect my friendship with him," says the beauty.

One movie wonder Nandini Reddy is the 'butterfly' everywhere these days. After her successful stint with 'Ala Modalaindi' before signing a big project with Bellamkonda Suresh, the lady director has gone places. The other day, Nandini was seen spending her lunch time at the table of five biggies of Tollywood. Family hero Venkatesh, Mass Raja Raviteja, action star Gopichand, ace director VV Vinayak and comedian turned producer Ganesh are her partners at the lunch. The onlookers went on commenting Nandini as Draupadi of those big-wigs. The joke was just cracked in a lighter vein though Nandini looks bigger in height and weight than all those guys. Rather than feeling uneasy with five men around, this 'Draupadi' unearthed her dare-bare voice to stand atop. All this happened at the audio release function of RaNa and Puri Jagan's 'Nenu Naa Rakshasi'.

The accused chopped dead body of victim into pieces and burnt them into ashes before disposing. This disgusting and horrified incident has the root in love. It was love which turned them into dreadful souls. So Varma attached a tag line for A Love Story as, "From the heart, but is not for the faint hearted."  RGV wants audience to get into the mindset of the characters as if the scenes are playing out in front of their own eyes. Maria's boy friend Emile Mathew was involved in this cold blooded crime. Maria Susairaj had affairs with both and has no impediments agreeing the fact that she had sex with Neeraj Grover before murdering him. Maria and Mathew are now behind the bars. Bold actress Mahie Gill will play Maria in this Love Story. Actual Story: Few crimes have captured the national imagination quite as compellingly as the murder of 25-year-old Neeraj Grover in May 2008. Bombay police say that the TV executive was lying naked in 27-year-old Kannada starlet Maria Susairaj's bedroom when her fiance, Emile Jerome Matthew, walked in and stabbed Grover to death. Maria and Emile are then said to have hacked the corpse into approximately 300 pieces before putting the chopped limbs on fire. This outline makes the case sound like fodder for a Ram Gopal Verma potboiler. The calmness with which Maria and Emile had conducted themselves afterwards was startling. Naval lieutenant Jerome Mathew told investigators that the reason he had murdered media executive Neeraj Grover was because he had found him nude in his girlfriend's Malad home. Mathew and his girlfriend, Kannada actress Maria Susairaj, have been arrested for killing Grover and disposing of the body in the jungles of Manor after stuffing the chopped body parts into three bags. Mathew said that when he had phoned Susairaj on May 6, she told him that Grover was helping her move into her new apartment at Dheeraj Solitaire building and would leave in a few hours. But when Mathew flew into Mumbai the next morning, he was shocked when Susairaj opened the door in a skimpy outfit. Mathew walked straight into her bedroom and found Grover in the nude. Mathew was consumed with jealousy and rage as he realised what was happening behind his back. He headed straight to the kitchen and returned with a knife. The two men had a scuffle and Mathew eventually overpowered Grover, stabbing him several times. Maria Monica Susairaj, had told him that she had not slept with Grover willingly. The couple then had consensual sex twice in the same flat, even as the body lay in a pool of blood, refuting claims that Mathew had raped her after the murder. Mathew had never seen nor spoken to Grover before that fatal run in. Matthew was taught techniques of man-to-man combat and how to use a dagger as part of his naval training. He put his skills to use to overpower Grover. Susairaj used her credit card to shop for a knife and three bags from a local mall, since she had run out of cash. Matthew then used this new knife to chop Grover's body to pieces and stuff it into the three bags. Grover's parents, who came down from UP to look for their missing son, met Maria on May 9. Barely three days later, Susairaj herself came to meet Maria with her brother and three of Grover's friends. She requested the police to look into the case personally. But the police told her upfront that she was my 'suspect number 1'. She was taken aback at that time. But after her arrest, she admitted to her role in the crime. Maria is described by her friends as "wilful, ambitious, sexually manipulative, and ultimately a figure of tragedy". The experimental flick of 'Eega' with one animated character as hero and some other live characters has become a challenge for both. Rajamouli as a technican already pre-visualized entire movie and narrated it to Keeravani asking to compose three songs, gripping background for film. Moods and situations in this kind of flicks are totally different, novelistic from regular movies. Keeping the expectations, new thought process of Rajamouli in mind, Keeravani took 'Eega' as a challenge to his receptivity. What remains to be seen is how far music magician reached the outlook of screen magician.

'Mirapakaya' Director's Hot Love Story

The Sankranthi fever has died down and one look at the releases show that ‘Mirapakaya’ has emerged to be the winner among the lot.
