Mahesh Babu's dream project abandoned!

There will be a hidden jinx in transforming the epic classics into successful movies. Apparently, it was in yester generations that heroes like NTR, ANR and other legendary personalities passed in bringing mythological and historical concepts on screen. In this time period Mani Ratnam planned of bringing an on screen form to 'Ponniyin Selvan', a novel based on historical evidences of Tamil Nadu. This film which has the involvement of a mega budget of over Rs.100 Crores is now heard to be abandoned for the sake of high budget. Ace director Mani Ratnam's year long hard work will be poured into dustbin along with shining star cast of Mahesh Babu, Vijay, Anushka and Priyanka Chopra will be surely disappointed. Neither any of the official reason is given for this sudden shelving nor is the production firm concerned with the project ready to open up the reason. Internal sources support that financial backing of this premier production house is the reason behind renouncing this dream project of Mahesh Babu and Mani Ratnam.

Mahesh Babu's bumper offer to Mani Ratnam

Ever since Telugu media reported news on Mahesh Babu accepted second fiddle role in Mani Ratnam's movie, Prince Fans are going furious. As Vijay is the main hero and Anushka is heroine, importance for Mahesh Babu in the film will be seemingly lost. If Mani Ratnam is insisting Mahesh Babu only to sell the Telugu version fancily, there is no necessity for charming hero to accept the offer. As per the Film Nagar grapevine, after a long analysis of situation Mahesh Babu is known to have striked the deal to accept 'Ponniyin Selvan', if film is to be made into two parts. If first part will focus on heroism of Vijay, second distinctly needs to concentrate on Mahesh Babu's heroics as a warrior. Ram Gopal Varma followed the same technique for Rakta Charitra series. First part was dominated by Vivek Oberoi while second belonged to Suriya alone. This is Mahesh Babu's bumper offer for Mani Ratnam. Let us see what happens

Maniratnam behind Mahesh 'Dookudu'

Mahesh babu is becoming sluggard in accomplishing his allotted projects. There was too much of criticism for eating up years and years of time in completing single movie that too faring below the expectations of audience. To prove this statement, his work schedules on ‘Khaleja’ and ‘Dookudu’ stand as bright examples. This is going to be the past.  Yes, mahesh babu’s ‘Dookudu’ has taken the top gear speed and is readying to release in May. Cine folks say that Maniratnam is the reason behind mahesh babu going into this high speed ‘Dookudu’ because he wants Prince to complete his pending works at earliest possible and arrive in Chennai for the ground work of ‘Ponniyin Selvan.’ Given the first of its kind role for mahesh babu in Mani’s film, he needs to take a break before digesting the actual character.  Accordingly Srinu Vaitla is presently known to be in Mumbai with ‘Dookudu’ team running in a hurry. Good that we can have ‘Dookudu’ in closing summer holidays.
