'7th Sense' to face a Ban there!

Suriya and Murugadoss combo ‘7Aum Arivu’ or Telugu version released as ‘7th sense’ is running through a series of problems in Sri Lanka. Although critics are rating the movie as gem of a thought from director, here is an opposition from Sri Lanka where the Tamil version of film is released. A section of Singhalese populations in Sri Lanka are accusing director on two issues. One being, Suriya’s Bodhidharma’s characterization as God and second is the dialogue spelt by Aravind character which goes like ‘nine countries joining their hands together to attack a single country is not called courage but it is betrayal.’ Sinhalese, the dominant race in Island nation of Sri Lanka are raging in fire raising their voices to delete such controversial sequences else face ban. One has to wait and see…how Sri Lankan Government will react? Reactions from native Tamil audience are also to be observed now.

'Dookudu' Changed The Fate Of Overseas Market

Overseas market was always in doubtful mode before the release of ‘Dookudu’. The distributors were very cautious in buying movies and tough negotiations used to be made.

But with the success of ‘Dookudu’ collecting 2.3 million dollars, the heat developed and the distributors are zeroing in the deals very swiftly. The movies are also getting good price.

Even ‘Oosaravelli’ collected good in US market with around Rs 2 Cr gross. And with that, Balakrishna’s ‘Sri Rama Rajyam’ was lifted at decent price and for the first time in the career of Balakrishna, the movie was sold for all the locations before release. Even ‘Mogudu’ was bought by overseas distributors at Rs 40 lakh.

Above all, Siddarth, who is on flop-track, could see the glory of overseas price for his ‘Oh My Friend’. And this phenomenon may change or continue with the fate of these movies at US box office.

prabhas seems to be slowly entering into a wrong track even after delivering super hits ‘Darling’ and ‘Mr. Perfect’ successively. As the title ‘Rebel’ suggests of being mass, action oriented characterization for prabhas but the funky look released isn’t really satisfying as per any standards maintained by Dasarath and Karunakaran earlier. Wish that choreographer turned director Lawrence come out quickly with a solution to bring back the weakening craze on ‘Rebel.’

Allu Arjun-Trivikram's 'Honey' from Nov 2nd

Stylish star Allu Arjun’s new project under the direction Trivikram Srinivas is on Track now. Earlier we heard that movie has been shelved. Now the movie is on track and it is going to hit the floors and Allu Arjun will soon start working for Trivikram Srinivas’s film.  And the news is that this venture will begin production from Nov 2nd onwards. The movie was tentatively titled as Honey and has Ileana as the heroine and Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music.

The movie is being produced by Danayya and the film will be a comedy entertainer with a romantic angle, as per the production unit. The film has been delayed for a while now due to the shoulder injury of Allu Arjun. He subsequently went to Australia and underwent surgery for the same.

Allu Arjun says that he has fully recovered from the injury and is raring to go.

Meanwhile, Trivikram Srinivas has roped in Kannada actor Sudeep, who is starring in SS Rajamouli's Eega, to play a key character in Honey. 

Pawan's 'Gabbar Singh' to release on Mar 28 2012

Pawan Kalyan’s Panjaa is in the post production work and his next movie Gabbar Singh is already on the sets. Some part of this film was already shot and it will be quickly wrapped up in another sixty days. This is the remake of Bollywood blockbuster Dabangg.

Harish Shankar is directing Gabbar Singh. This film is aiming at summer release. As per the buzz, Gabbar Singh will release on March 28, 2012. Shruti Haasan is the heroine in this film. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music.

Suhasini is playing mother to Pawan, Abhimanyu singh, Brahmanandam, Tanikella Bharani and others are playing other important charectors in the film.

Ganesh Babu, who produced Theen Maar with Pawan Kalyan is producing this film. With Gabbar Singh slated for March 28 release, Pawan Kalyan’s fans are going to witness two releases in a span of four months.

Nitin-Nithya Menon 'Ishq' all set to release in Dec

Nitin and Nithya Menen are working together for a romantic entertainer ‘Ishq’. Nitin, who badly requires a hit, is banking heavily on this film which the director says has a message that love is divine.  The movie is gearing up for a December release and the shooting is going on at full speed. Shooting is almost complete and only 3 songs are to be canned. All three songs will be shot abroad.

Vikram Kumar is directing this movie and the film is being produced on Sreshta Cinemas banner. The audio launch will take place in November. Aravind Shankar is scoring the music for this movie.

Director Vikram Kumar says that the movie is a nice love story set in an urban backdrop. He says there will be plenty of action and entertainment for all sections of movie lovers. 

The star cast of the film includes Ajay, Sindhu Tolani, Nagineedu, Ali, Srinivas Reddy, Satya Krishnan and others.

Let us hope Nitin breaks his lean run at the Box Office with this movie.

Siddharth's 'Oh My Friend' completes its shooting

Siddharth, Shruti Haasan starrer ‘Oh My Friend’ had recently completed its entire shooting.The film unit had gone to Panchgani recently where a song was shot. And yesterday, the remaining patch work was completed in Hyderabad. Currently, the film’s DI is going on in Chennai.

Speaking on a press meet Producer Dil Raju sated that out come of the movie is satisfactory and audio of the movie is expected to release on November 11th.

Venu Sriram is going to make his debut as a director with this film. Dil Raju is producing it on Sri Venkateshwara Creations banner. Vijay K Chakravarthy is the cinematographer. 

The film is scheduled to release on the 11th of November. The audio was released recently and it is said to be growing on the listeners' ears. Oh My Friend is a musical love story which fiddles with love and friendship. Navdeep and Hansika also star in this rom-com.

Rajamouli's 'Eega' as 'Naan Ee' in Tamail

The shooting of Ace director SS Rajamouli’s forthcoming film Eega is going at brisk pace. The film has Nani, Samantha and Sudeep in the lead roles. Sai Korrapati is producing the movie on Varahi Chalana Chitram banner while D Suresh Babu is presenting it. 

Rajamouli is making this film in both Telugu and Tamil languages simultaneously. Now the latest news is that the Tamil version of the film will be titled as "Naan Ee". Nani and Samantha are playing the lead roles while Kannada actor Sudeep is playing the role of antagonist in the film. A house fly (Eega) is playing the title role.

The film is mostly based on visual effects and most of it is being shot in Blue Mat and that is the reason the shooting is going at slow pace .The movie is made on a whopping sum of Rs 22 core in which Rs 5 crore were being spent on visual effects.

The outline of the story is villain kills the hero and hero is reborn as Eega and takes revenge on villain.

Mickey J Mayer steps into Venky-Mahesh's 'SVSC'

Victory Venkatesh and Prince Mahesh Babu's multi-starrer movie, 'Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' has got its Puja done on the day of Dasara. Dil Raju is producing this movie under Sri Venkateswara Creations banner while 'Kotha Bangarulokam' fame Srikanth Addala is directing this most prestigious project. 

Now the latest news is that music director Mickey J Mayer has been roped as the music director for the movie. The music composer has several hits to his credit like Happy Days, Kotha Bangaru Lokam, Leader, Anaganaga Oka Dheerudu et al and now bagged the chance of scoring tunes for this big-budget film.

Being a big multi-starrer film after years, SVSC has high expectations among the audiences.  The film is said to be a complete family entertainer and Venktesh is going to pair up with Trisha, Mahesh Babu is going to pair up with Samantha in this flick.

Ravi Teja set to romance Tapsee once again

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja's new movie directed by Siva (Souryam fame) and produced by Burugupalli Siva Rama Krishna under Sri Venkateswara Entertainments launched recently. The movie, which is presented by Sri Naga Muneswari, is a massy entertainer with all the commercial elements. 

The latest news is that Taapsee has been roped as female lead in this upcoming film. Earlier, both acted together in Veera which failed at box-office. She has become popular for her glamour quotient in almost all her films. Tapsee will feature as main heroine in this film. However, the makers are still searching for second heroine.

Touted to be a mass entertainer, Burgupalli Shivaramakrishna is producing the movie under Sri Venkateswara Entertainments banner.

Vijay Anthony will score the tunes while Vetri will take charge of the camera. Other details are awaited. Ravi Teja is currently busy with shoot of his Nippu in Gunasekhar direction with Deeksha Seth as heroine.

Swetha Bharadwaj charges Rs 50 Lks to do raunchy Item song

Earlier we reported Former Gladrags model and actress Shweta Bharadwaj is all set to sizzle in an sensous item song in Super Star Mahesh Babu's upcoming film The Business Man.

Nagarjuna nervous about Naga Chaitanya's 'Bejawada'

Naga Chaitanya's upcoming high voltage political action thriller Bejawada is giving sleepless nights to King Nagarjuna for various reasons.

Nagarjuna has bagged the overseas rights of Bejawada, which is expected to hit the screens on Nov 3rd. With Naga Chaitanya's recent film Dhada proves to be dud, Nagarjuna having doubts about this flick.

Naga Chaitanya, who tasted back to back successes with ‘Ye Maya Chesave’ and ‘100% Love’, got a good opportunity to step ahead with ‘Dhada’. Nagarjuna had lots of hope on the movie, compared it with his ‘Shiva’. Unfortunately, the movie ended up as a colossal disaster pushing him back to square one. Now he will have to prove his mettle with his next release ‘Bejawada’. Naga Chaitanya did an intense role in this film and that is another major test for him as he is yet to prove his mettle in such roles.

Nagarjuna knows the importance of mass image to any hero is tensed with ‘Bejawada’  movie. Chaitanya’s first such attempt with ‘Dhada’ is a big flop and if ‘Bejawada’ also receives the same response, Chaitanya will be restricted to collage going young love story movies which Nagarjuna doesn’t want. Based on rowdyism in Vijayawada during the 90's, Bejawada stars Naga chaitanya as a powerful student leader, who tries to protect the people of vijayawada from the atocites being committed by some goons. Amala Paul is playing the female lead in this movie.

Genelia pins hopes on 'Naa Ishtam'

After the oust of Chitrangadha Singh and then Jacqueline Fernandez from Hrithik Roshan's Krrish sequel, to be directed by Rakesh Roshan, now the film is still in state of confusion s to whom to replace with.

We hear that sexy lass Bipasha Basu or the latest Rockstar craze Nargis Fakhri are being considered to play the role of teat negative shaded character which is that of a mutant.

We hear that the makers have approached the Rockstar sensation Nargis and they are also Ready to zero in on Bengali bomb shell Bipash Basu if Nargis rejects the offer.

A source informs media, “Nargis really loved the script. The modalities are being worked out. It looks like Rakesh Roshan has finally found his heroine.”

Chitrangada Singh had backed out of the project as she had felt that her role was not that significant and later Jacqueline is said to have opted out as she was not ready to share a kissing scene with Hrithik.

The film has Priyanka Chopra in the lead opposite Hrithik.

About zeroing in on Nargis, the source informs, “This is a bold role. And Nargis does not have any qualms about wearing a bikini or being intimate with Hrithik on-screen. Her physicality suits the character perfectly. This is exactly what Fernandez was supposed to do.”

Sayali Bhagat who is recently in news for her statement made against actor Shiney Ahuja for sexual harassment, has now added more people from the film industry in to her list.
