The engagement function of Ram Charan Teja, the only son of megastar-politician Chiranjeevi, with Upasana Kamineni, grand daughter of Apollo group chairman Pratap C Reddy on Thursday night witnessed the presence of who-is-who of the film industry, politics and the government, as both Chiranjeevi as well as Reddy were highly influential persons in the society.
While everybody greeted the other person at the function both out of affection as well as courtesy, but there were a few celebrities who stayed away from the people they apparently didn’t like.
Take for example, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy did not see eye to eye with Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, though they sat in adjacent sofas in the front row. Kiran did not wish Naidu and vice versa.
So was the case with Junior NTR, who came to the function along with his wife Lakshmi Pranathi. All through the ceremony, he was seen chatting with Pavan Kalyan, while his wife was seen in the company of Rama Rajamouli. And when Naidu came to the function along with Balakrishna, they passed by Junior NTR, who just gave a look and turned the other side.
Though everybody, including veteran Akkineni Nageshwara Rao, his son Nagarjuna and even Jayasudha, got up and wished Naidu and Balakrishna, Junior NTR did not even bother to wish his “babai.” Even Lakshmi Pranathi did not appear to have greeted his granduncle Naidu. And it did not escape the attention of the eagle-eyed media!
