Mohan Babu In Nandamuri Anna's Footsteps

Late Nandamuri Tarakarama Rao has got a special style in Tollywood. For some reason, he has an affinity towards villain characters in mythology. He did many of such roles with great interest.

There is also a comment that since he is a big hero, more than the authenticity of the character, focus was on giving more image and value to the character.

When NTR did Ravana’s role, it became Ravana Brahma. When he did Duryodhana, it became Suyodhana and even his role of Karna became quite positive.

With this, there is a remark that due to NTR’s influence, even the negative shaded Gireesam character in the famous ‘Kanyasulkam’ also became positive.

Now, Mohan Babu who has often proclaimed that the late NTR is more like his ‘anna’ is all set to walk in his footsteps. Though he started his career as a villain, he proved his mettle with character and hero roles. In between he impressed with his role as Yama.

Now, it is heard that Mohan Babu is gearing up to don the role of Ravana. Just like the NTR movies, this is slated to be a complete Ravana movie. This is likely to be directed by K Raghavendra Rao. For now, the proposal got okayed as per sources and a noted corporate company is producing it. The film is likely to hit the floors next year.
