Samantha replaces Miss India finalist

Femina Miss India 2011 finalist Rakul Preet Singh was the first choice for the main female role in the film 'Autonagar Surya'. But now, the role has been grabbed by Tollywood's latest sensation Samantha. Deva Katta, the director of the film opted to cast Samantha in the last minute. As the filmmaker wants to cash in on the magical combination of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha after 'Ye Maya Chesave'. "YES, the gorgeous and the mindful Samantha will play the lead girl in Autonagar Surya...the magic will repeat :))," said Deva Katta. The shooting of 'Autonagar Surya' will commence from August 1st. At present, the pre-production work is going on at full swing. The story was set in the backdrop of Vijayawada rowdyism. Music is by Anup Rubens. The film has Ashish Vidyarthi, Jayaprakash Reddy and Jeeva in other roles. However, Rakul Preet Singh has been debuting in Tollywood with Siddharth Raj Kumar's(Prabhas's cousin) film 'Keratam'. It's a trilingual film and will be released in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam simultaneously. Hope, Rakul bags few exciting offers in future.
