Baba's chamber, a treasure of enormous wealth?

Yajur Mandir, the personal chamber of late spiritual guru Satya Sai Baba, has turned out to be a treasure trove, if reports from Puttaparthi are any indication.
The way the Satya Sai Central Trust members, along with a few others, have been engaged in counting of wealth available in the Yajur Mandir in a secret manner, has led to speculation that the mandir indeed had enormous wealth.
According to reports trickling in from Prashanti Nilayam, nearly 450 kg of gold, heaps of diamonds and precious stones whose value runs into a few hundred crores and huge amount of cash was found in the mandir so far. That the trust members had summon a cash counting machine from the local SBI itself is an indication that there was huge cash in the chamber. There were hundreds of gold-plated feet and jewellery donated by a Saudi king were also found, sources said.
Some other reports said more than 50 students of Satya Sai University were engaged in counting of valuables, evaluating them and making an inventory of the belongings. Several documents of various properties, besides Baba’s will were also found in the Mandir. The will reportedly indicated that Baba’s caregiver Satyajit would be his successor.
It is expected to be completed by evening and only after that Baba’s nephew R J Ratnakar is expected to make a media statement.
