Why Is It A Big Deal For Genelia?

The very mention of the name Genelia reminds many of the homely and bubbly girl who stole hearts with her role as ‘Hasini’ in ‘Bommarillu’. While most of her co-stars have resorted to glamour and other paths to gain limelight, Genny has been going through the demure route and making her mark.
 
However, given the good girl impression she has generated, many are asking why is it so difficult for Genny to take membership in MAA. They say “Genelia’s career was made in Tollywood. She was given the opportunity to work with top league heroes. By not adhering to the norms of MAA, she is unnecessarily spoiling her reputation.”
 
They add “What’s the loss for her if she takes up the membership? Even her contemporaries have gone ahead and took membership. If she has a valid reason for not taking it up, then it is better Genny comes into the open and discusses about it.” While this is the view of many, let us wait to see what Genny’s view is.
