Controversial film maker Ram Gopal Varma has got yet another episode to add to his forthcoming film “Bezawada Rowdeelu,” – the title which has landed him in quite a big trouble for him from the people of Vijayawada.
On Saturday, Vijayawada city Telugu Yuvatha leader Vadlamudi Mohan, a close follower of TDP urban wing president Vallabhaneni Vamsi, was found murdered on the main road in the early hours. Mohan is said to be involved in several cases pertaining to rowdy activities in the city.
According to the police, he is a notorious rowdy sheeter involved in student politics, running a gang against another group of students supported by Congress leader Devineni Rajasekhar’s son. At any time, Mohan was always accompanied by hundreds of students around him.
Yet, his rivals managed to eliminate him. Though the police are trying to project it as an accident, Vamsi alleged that it was a cold-blooded murder by his rivals.
Mohan’s murder obviously is a reflection of gang wars in Vijayawada.
So no wonder Ram Gopal Varma now justifies the title of his film “Bezawada Rowdeelu.” Those who argue that gang wars and murders in Vijayawada are now a thing of the past have to keep their mouths shut.
