After delivering a megahit with Robot last year, he is back with Rana , with Deepika Padukone and Rekha as the lead characters. Unlike the last time, the girls will get meaty footage in the film. Vidya will be the third lead in the film, with Sonu Sood playing the villain.
K. S. Ravi Kumar is directing Rana , which will go on floors next month. There was speculation that Asin might sign on for the movie, but finally it was Vidya who bagged the role.
Rana will see Rajni portraying three characters of different age.
Rekha and Deepika will be paired with him in his first and third roles. Vidya will play a middle- aged woman opposite him. Shooting is likely to start within two months.
